Putt Above Mini Golf - Dudley — Attraction in Dudley

Like mini golf but all in one lane, not a course that you move around. The projector changes the game but it’s the same holes each time. Interesting concept but think it could be improved a little. Not sure how possible this is but maybe within the lane the holes could move around or change in some way because it did get a little boring after half an hour.

Loved the atmosphere in here, a lot of effort has been put into the style of the place. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

We also had food which you can order from the QR code by your lane. We ordered nachos, halloumi chips and I also had their watermelon/cranberry cocktail. The halloumi chips were really nice but the nachos weren’t great, not very salty and the dips weren’t good at all. Although the salsa dip was okay.

Biggest issue…. The page that the QR code opens on your phone has ADS at the bottom, as in scam ads. Our older family member used their phone to order, and had accidentally clicked the ad and was half way through entering their payment/card details into a scam website that they had accessed through this establishments QR code. Not good at all. We managed to catch it in time and stop them from entering their card details in the wrong place. This really needs looking at!

Came here for both golf and darts but left slightly underwhelmed. Golf is the best part. Some nice fun games however if you putt left handed then it is harder as the balls come out only on the right which is slightly a handicap as you are facing the wrong way and waste time trying to get the balls and adjust them to where you want. The first lane we went to was not registering the points properly so we were promptly moved to another lane so I commend the staff for their quick actions. The darts was very disappointing however. The darts are like throwing air and the dart board is very poor with very thick borders around the trebles, doubles and numbers making it a lot harder. Also sometimes the dart would bounce back off a number but the score will still register which shouldn't be the case and really ruins some of the fun and point scoring as this is very unfair to the other players. Overall I would come back here for the golf only...

Absolutely brilliant!!! First time visit with my three daughters this evening and we had a blast. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the member of staff. It was pretty quiet at the time we went (6.15pm) but the music and the decor made up the atmosphere. We played the mini lane golf and there are plenty of games to choose from with a good variety of different ways of playing. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning to try the other activities. After a fun hour, it was time to leave, on the way out the member of staff was courteous enough to ask if we had enjoyed our visit, asked who had won and what our favourite games were. Those brief engagements with customers across many leisure based industries I find are sadly few and far between, so well done Putt Above! Only thing that stopped it getting 5/5 was sometimes the score wouldn't register when a ball was putted...
