Zig Zags Play and Party — Attraction in Dudley

Haven’t been in a while and now I remember why. Place is filthy, hasn’t had a deep clean in years cobwebs and muck everywhere. Me and my friend arrived together but paid separately. I paid for my 10 year old son and was let in while my friend who was told her daughter was too old and couldn’t use the area and whisks have to sit out, without even enquiring about her age. I wasn’t aware there was a strict age limit as I have seen teens running around in there before but her daughter was only a few months older than my son. From then it went further down hill. Ordered food which took 45 minutes to come and half the order was incorrect. I was told it was the cashiers first day which fair enough can be stressful but I saw her writing order down and just used letters like n c b for nuggets chips and beans and seemed be be getting in a muddle so was bound to end is disaster. Staff seemed to have an attitude about them especially the ‘chief’. We brought a lolly pop which fell apart as soon as we attempted to open it, asked my son to return it and was told he was a liar as they wouldn’t sell it like that, well no you wouldn’t but it fell apart and we aren’t eating it like that so I then had to go up and was then told she would have to check if I could take another one came back a few seconds later and said ‘just take one’ from then I witnessed her giving the kids dirty looks every time they passed. This business is obviously doing well but they need to watch how they practice with scally wags just round the corner which is MUCH nicer. Such a shame Gian seems busy with other projects to give the place the time it needs. Won’t be returning. Would give 0 stars...

Booked my daughters 5th birthday party here. Cannot thank Tyler, Angel and Shell enough who made it the best birthday party experience for everyone. From the minute we stepped in the door till the end they took care of everything and were very friendly and helpful. My daughter was so happy. Everything was so clean and spotless when we entered. They waited patiently until all the guests arrived and booked everyone in. There was plenty for the kid's to do as we booked for a private party and they had a nice play together.The food was great with loads to choose from we went for the hot food and they set the tables and chairs out for us and put banners and balloons up. They helped set the tables with food and drinks for guests.They were very well organised and Angel was our party host and really entertained the kid's with her interaction. We had a mascot come out after which the kid's loved and was so entertaining and cute even adults got involved and took lots of photos. They were so helpful and nothing was any trouble for them, they are very experienced and know what they are doing. They cut the cake and packed it for us to give to the guests at the end. It was such a lovely evening and my daughter had the best party and had such a lovely experience, they really made it special for her. Thank you so much for a lovely experience and going that extra mile at the end helping us load the cars and pack everything. Definitely recommend to everyone you will not be disappointed. As a guest of a party I cannot comment on the price or booking process.

However, I can say with confidence that I am not happy with the cross contamination of utensils between vegan and none vegan foods. The gentleman on shift (who confined the chips were vegan) used the same tongs from the chips, to pick up chicken nuggets that fell onto the table and put them back into the chicken nugget bowl, then placed the same tongs back onto the pile of chips. I don't know if the problem is lack of training or just laziness.

The tables were sticky, dirty and damaged. The chairs appear to be bought on the occasional Sunday from the local car boot sale as they were all mismatched. I counted 5 different types of chair, all randomly placed.

The sound system in the sole party room appears to be sources from the same car boot sale. It sounded dreadful. Way too much bass and extremely low quality.

There is a fire exit at the back of the main room in the corner. This corner is a multi use corner, as this is where they store broken tables, microwaves and other items.

The one positive is they has vegan sausages available. Now, I consider myself a vegan sausage connoisseur and have never seen these sausages before. I have suspicions that they maybe be vegetarian and possibly contain egg or milk.

The same man was a good party host, the kids loved it and they had a special visit from Mirabell of Disney's Encanto to play some party games.
