I'm a regular customer to the Merry Hill Superdrug and today I was very impressed with the lady who served me at the till. I believe her name was Natalie and she was very friendly and welcoming to the store. I had told her that my Mom had borrowed my points card, as I tell most of the staff who serve me in Superdrug as my Mom usually does have my points card, and unlike other members of staff that have served me in the past, Natalie informed me that I can download the Superdrug app and collect points that way and my Mom can still borrow my points card. No other members of staff from this store have mentioned the app before and so, until today, I didn't even know about it! However, the only thing is, and this goes for most drugstores, is that the shelving of products is often mixed up, which I can understand as some customers can't be bothered to put the testers back in the correct slots. However, today my shop in Superdrug probably took at least double the time it should have because of the amount of testers I couldn't find for the products I wanted. Also, when there are testers some of them are completely run out and are very messy to handle, so obviously need replacing with a new tester as soon as possible really. Apart from that, I enjoyed my experience more so today in this particular store because of the very good customer service by Natalie at...
Read moreIf a student (me) has proof of their Unidays ID i dont think they should have to be signed up to a beauty card as 'compulsory' (surely giving such details is a choice - even as a student?!!), nor do i think by using my Unidays ID and my unwanted beauty card that i would then be questioned "will you be paying for this purchase".. in other words "because your using your Unidays ID card and beauty card you must pay and not your girlfriend"... absolute rubbish! We have shopped in store before and not once have i been made to sign up to a beauty card JUST to get student discount so was shocked that this situation arose. It was worsened by the fact that the colleague serving us was very abrupt and vocal so that staff and other customers were looking over to us... making us feel uncomfortable and unvalued customers. We left the store appaled and will probably use other beauty stores in the future as customer service really does go a long way and keeps reputations (and...
Read moreA bit disappointed as I went there yesterday and was advised to buy a particular fragrance which was believed to be eau de parfum but when leaving the store I found out it was in fact eau de toilette. This was incorrectly advertised in store and on the perfume shop website also the fact that the team were also stating it being edp which is the reason I bought it. They were happy to offer me a refund but didnt seem bothered that they had been giving the wrong information to customers. The customer service team are no help and very defensive, so I guess I'll have to be inconvenienced and drive ALL the way back!!! Not a happy customer at all. I'll stick with the fragrance shop in future if this is the way after sales is handled.
In addition to this Amie who was on the till at the time was very helpful and patient despite my after experience with the rest of the team. The perfume shop themselves were also very helpful, superdrug now on the other hand were...
