This was a totally unexpected surprise. We came about this place by accident, we were just killing time and looking for somewhere to go whilst waiting to collect friends from nearby Cradley Heath. It was the last sort of place I expected to find in such an industrial area. It is partly located along the length of an old railway track with various side trails and circular paths, mostly going through wooded areas. There are many sculptures and carvings dotted all over the place. If it wasnt for the sound of traffic in the distance, you could be in the heart of the countryside. There are many level paths suitable for most people. Some of the routes are colour coded and have various lengths. An information board in the main car park tells you more information. My only criticism is that I wish the lazy dog owners who let thier dogs poop on the main footpaths would pick...
Read moreI might need another visit to unsour my view I like dogs, I have had many. I appreciate most dog owners are conscientious, but I get fed up with the few that spoil it for the many (yup...I know) either by having dogs off leads or not cleaning up.
I have kids now, so it's worse when they are jumped on (yup your dog loves kids I know) and/or I have to wipe off all of their mess off shoes, push-chairs etc. It is a similar story at the Leasowes and Warley Woods.
I don't know how you solve the issue completely (reasonably anyway) but cleaning up and attaching leads surely isn't too much to ask.

Read moreFabulous day out woodland walking, seeking hidden sculptures , walking the wonderful clay pit wetlands. Nice paths suitable for pushchairs and mobility aids with off the path tracks for walking adventures, steps for those who want a more challenging walk. You will need many visits to explore this absolutely beautiful place. Stand at sundown and listen to the calls to roost by the resident murder of crows, visit at sunrise on a frozen winter morning such wonderful sights and sounds of nature await you. A word of advice on parking please be aware that the pub near by will fine you for parking there if you do not put your car reg in. There are many entrances with free parking around the site so it is well worth doing a little research...
