This is an absolutely delightfully endearing and charming attraction in the East Devon town of Seaton with a lovely relaxing tram ride to boot. The attraction is brilliantly and wonderfully unique in that it offers a fantastic lovely relaxing picturesque tram ride on heritage tramsinstead of the usual train rides on heritage rides. The tram route itself runs for a distance of approx 3 miles between Seaton and Colyton where you can enjoy spectacular breathtaking views of The Axe Estuary and the Riverside Halt and Seaton Wetlands where you can see a variety of wading birds including Oystercatchers. There a number of stops along the route including Colyton Station, Colyford Station, Seaton Wetlands Halt amd Riverside Halt where you can enjoy a nice break from the excellent tram journey. There are some lovely walks to enjoy around Seaton Wetlands where you can enjoy beautiful views of the pools and also relax in the Bird Hides and have a chance to see the wildlife on the pools and in the estuary. You can visit a nice range of Pubs including the White Hart Inn and Colyton Station is a lovely old nostalgic station full of character and charm and you can see a small exhibition about the history of the tram line. The Riverside Halt provides a great place to stop off and relax and take in the Great views of The Axe Estuary and the wading birds such as The Oystercatchers and the Riverside Halt is also the location of the Riverside Depot where all the trams are stored and maintained and you can see the depot by pre-booked appointment. The place also runs a very efficient tram service with trams running every 20 minutes from opening time through to 5pm and on an Explorer ticket you can enjoy unlimited rides throughout the day on the day of your visit. At each of the stops there is also informative displays about the stops themselves and their history which is very useful and interesting. There are a variety of trams you can enjoy a ride and these include Tram 11- Plymouth & Blackburn Style, Tram 12- 1966, Tram 10- Plymouth & Blackburn Style and Tram 2 1964 Metropolitan Style Open Top and all of these trams for an extremely comfortable ride but also are in magnificent condition showing the great work the staff do in looking after them. The staff are very friendly and helpful making the experience all the more pleasurable and peasant. There are cafes at Seaton and Colyton Station selling a variety of refreshments at reasonable prices and there are gift shops at both stations selling a nice selection of gifts at reasonable prices. Overall this is a truly spectacular, amazing and outstanding place to visit and makes for a lovely pleasant day out and take in some great things from yesteryear. Well worth a visit...

You can park in a public car park very close by. I'd recommend parking there rather than at Tesco because you'll need more than 2 hours.
They have a very modern station at Seaton, handy today when the weather was rather inclement.
You buy your tickets in the shop on the left when you enter. We took the Day Explorer Ticket, and took two return trips travelling on 4 different trams.
There are information boards telling you all about the different trams and the tramway itself.
The start of the journey twists and winds it's way to the depot and picnic area on the River Axe estuary. The picnic area is right by the river, so bring binoculars and you will be rewarded seeing some lovely seabirds and wading birds.
Next stop is the Seaton Wetland Stop. All along the right hand side of the tramway you have the river, and we saw Little Gulls, Curlew, Herons, Little Egrets, Avocet, Oystercatchers, and various ducks. You can walk on boardwalks to 3 different hides if you exit here.
Next stop is Colyford, where there are two pubs to visit, The White Hart and The Wheelwright which is thatched.
Crossing the main road at a level crossing give a wave to the cars, you'll be sure to get a wave back.
All the way up the line are passing places, so if you're on the top deck of a tram you'll get some great picture opportunities on the right hand side.
Then onto Colyton and the terminus. Here you will find a short film about the old railway and the tramway, a gift shop, toilets and a lovely tearoom serving home made food. Simple menu, but very nice.
Final shout out for the staff. They're just lovely.
We always enjoy a trip to Seaton Tramway, this was our 4th over about 25 years! I'm sure we...

Little walk to the Seaton tramway about 3 minutes from car park
Very helpful staff , lots of different trams to get on Accommodation for prams , wheelchair and disabled.. they will tell you which tram to wait for .
Trams are about 6 mins apart from each other anyway, so it's not long to wait.
Reasonable priced tickets
You have a journey for about 30 minutes, calling at different stops . If you have a yellow wristband, you can get on and off as you please at the stops.
We had the ticket that goes to the end of the track and at the cafe stop and back.
Cafe at the end of the stop , hot food ,drinks, and little gift shop , very friendly staff.
Open the air bus on the way back down ..slightly breezing, so I would suggest a coat or a hoodie of doing the open top tram..
Different trams have different seats, some are just wooden , 2 are nice old fashion seats so more comfy..
The tram driver gives you information about the place on the way up and down in the tram.
Nice couple of hours out , suitable for kids for the adventure and for the oldies the scenery and the trains
You can be a tram driver for a few hours. I think it was £50 but I'm not sure how it works, so I would need to ring and enquire.
Very pleasant day out
We didn't book tickets we just turned up but it's oct so in the summer I'm sure it's busier so maybe need to enquire about booking but the trains are only a few mins apart so probably...
