Whilst I would not want in any way to be unfair or disparaging to the help given to individuals by this organisation, I do feel compelled to take issue with the decision making process seemingly employed by them in respect of offering help and assistance. Having already self-funded numerous aids and adaptations within our home to assist my Wife's deteriorating health condition, we applied to Kidney Care UK for some small amount of help with the purchase of a much needed rise & fall reclining chair....the request was refused. The grounds for refusal were based upon the (mid-range) item being considered too expensive for any financial assistance to be given but we were told that if we looked at purchasing a cheaper (unsuitable for my Wife's needs) item, our request could be reconsidered. Read moreI have been having horrendous problems with hospital transports including their contractors. A lovely lady here gave me a supporting letter to try and help assist me. Unfortunately the serious issues still stand and I am having to go via the Court Proceedings avenue. This wasn't going to being resolved promptly especially as my partner and I had reported a number of NHS staff and Senior Nurse to the Police previously. One of which was allegedly involved in investigating my complaints. Thankfully due to the previous saga.
