What a fab museum!

We hadn't realised it was cash only and the lovely lady said it was still OK to take a look round then pop back with the money.

Irs a small museum but is packed full of interesting items

The best part was the copies of the panoramic drawings of Louth and the incredibly informative and articulate lady who told us all about them She was so knowledgeable and also clearly very passionate about the subject and it was great to have her tell us about them.

And because of what she had told us we went for a long walk and delighted in spotting some of the places we'd seen and been told about.

So a big thank you for the interesting talk, ...

A hidden gem that I'd like to spend more time exploring. There are artifacts going back centuries, and I had no idea that suffragettes hid in the town hall roof! You'll find out so much about the town, as well as parts of British history through local stories.

The best part is the copy of Brown's famous panorama (shocking that the town council has hidden the original away) with great labelling and explanations so you can really map the modern town to the painting.

Interesting little local museum. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given a short talk on the Louth Panorama which was a great introduction. Also had a chat with another member of staff as we were leaving. Especially interesting was the display about the Louth floods in the late 1920s. Amused to see a Dairy Crest milk bottle on display which looks very like the milk bottles we get every day at home! £4 entry for an adult and £3 for...

Not a big museum but packed full of interesting local information and artifacts. The museum guide was local, well informed and very enthusiastic. Make sure you take some time to look at the amazing panoramic map of louth. The museum is wheelchair accessible...occasionally they have special exhibitions upstairs for which their is a stair lift. A pleasant way to spend 30-45 minutes, entry for an adult is £5. Lots of local car parks.

Little bit annoying to plan to visit using the information online but to find it's actually closed. Someone needs to update the Google page and update it, which I've now done on their behalf according to the sign, but bit poor that it hasn't been done locally.

Loved coming today. I love doing the trail with the children. We did two different ones today. Very friendly staff. Very happy to help and explain anything if you need help or more information.
