I am going to be very honest and fair here, and offer constructive feedback rather than having a rant.

Not as good as it used to be, when I visited somewhere around 2021, the food was awesome, full of flavour passionately cooked.

Upon my last visit, August 2025, the gents were disgusting. The first thing you smelt when you walked in was raw sewage and urine. The urinals were stained with urine, it was just dried on and caked on there. It couldn’t have been cleaned for months. The floor was the same.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t changed since my last visit around 2021. It almost put me off going again this year.

the food wasn’t as good as it used to be, especially the burger. It lacked flavour possibly in need of more seasoning, cheese, or higher quality steak mince.

However, I would like to compliment the bbq pulled pork nachos, they were my favourite. Full of flavour, the meat just melted in your mouth.

Portions are large can’t complain.

The service was also great, the staff were obviously very busy but tried their best to pay full undivided attention. Staff were friendly and welcoming, they made sure to check up on our table every once in a while.

The noise is a massive let down. My ears were ringing for hours afterwards. There were some customers who were banging the table and being very loud. Ideally, they should have been removed. I am aware that this is out of the owners control but measdures can be put into place.

Such as: . Politely asking loud, rude customers to bring it down a little . Alternatively, add more soft furnishings to absorb some of the sound and prevent echoing . Installing Dividers and booths which will also offer more privacy and make you feel more relaxed

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic from the decor to the staff to the absolutely fantastic food. We arrived for our date night a little early was greeted by a friendly gentleman behind the bar who told our table wasn't quite ready so we had a drink at the bar. My wife's eyes lit up at the cocktail menu. Drinks ordered and within a few minutes our table was ready off we went the decor in this place so fits the style of food they are selling there are bull horns on the walls retro coke advertising. Sat at our table now the hard part what to order everything on the menu sounded fantastic we chose our starters (we ordered 4) Chili and garlic prawns 5* Beef burnt ends 5* Onion rings 5* Chicken wings with bourbon bbq 5* These came with your choice of sauces we chose. Buffalo,Bourbon BBQ & Chili bacon jam which is made inhouse is absolutely fantastic that they should sell it in jars. Main course my wife ordered full rack of ribs with beef brisket rustic fries and in-house coleslaw (coleslaw was OMG) I order the back yard bbq which does state good to share or for those that are hungry well you'd have to be starving to finish it 1/2 rack of ribs I chose to brisket on top of it (there are others chooses) 6 southern fried chicken strips Onion rings 2 mini corn on the cob And a double cheese burger To say everything we ordered was delicious would be an understatement this is a gem of a restaurant in the most unassuming location in Lincolnshire. Great quality food 5*, if a little over priced! Good service, we were part of a group that had pre booked, the only down side was as a pre booked party we had to order the food approx 2 weeks in advance! (As corrected by the owner this is actually 3 days in advance - I didn't book this event personally) And pay a £5 deposit (non refundable for a no show, understandable ) and changes were not accepted less than 24 hours before, also if for some reason an individual couldn't make it for some reason the deposit would be lost and if it was not notified with greater than 24 hours notice the food still has to be paid for by the person booking for the group! This process really needs looking at and is the reason for the 3 star rating. A deposit per person should be sufficient and it would be nice to be able to choose the food on the day. update In response to the reply by the owner. Whilst I appreciate times have been difficult for the hospitality industry, it's also becoming increasingly difficult for your customers and whilst I understand you've had no complaints regarding your policies and that these have been common practice in the general hospitality industry for some years it doesn't make the policy correct!
