Stayed in the family room, which is huge. Double bed + single over double bunkbed. Room is warm, beds comfy, plentiful towels and toiletries. A few old marks and stains on the carpet, mirror lights in bathroom gave up and the bunkbed was quite wobbly, so a few niggles that need maintenance. Hot water is slow, but its clearly a very old building. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately no food being served which was my biggest disappointment as we were travelling with little children and it would have been convenient. It does get noisy at night upstairs as you can hear the music from the pub, but it was never unpleasant or rowdy and didn't bother us (it was actually quite nice whilst upstairs with the kids asleep whilst the others were downstairs as I didn't feel so left out). Read morePossibly the worst Pub in Britain. If I could give 0 stars I would. It starts with the smell that greets you from the door, throughly unpleasant. Like stale p*ss. It gets better. The blonde woman (who I’m presuming is the owner or manager) has a very bad attitude. Possibly the rudest and apathetic person I’ve ever came across. She made my friends and I feel very uncomfortable and intimidated by getting in our faces and refusing to let us leave unless we left a donation in the charity box - and we had no cash. She told us not to return which believe me, we will never. Absolutely gobsmacked....

The accommodation was OK, but there were some issues with the shower that should be attended to promptly.
Unfortunately my room was noisy both from the bar downstairs and from the street. There was the usual pub noise until the late hours, and then noisy deliveries to neighbouring businesses the following morning.
