Sometimes you come across a pub that just has that feel about it, I ended up here after a last minute to come along by friends, bring guitar and play a set ! Both meself and the wife fell in love with the bar as soon as we entered ( fri ) , reminds me of Irish type bars, olde worlde kinda charm, comfy , nice little seating area outside, being on a cobbled sidestreet with no vehicles allowed, no traffic pollution !! - The landlord is a genuine nice guy, ( Ben ) as is his staff, they smile ( again genuine ) and look after you well, the local folk were friendly and made me and the wife welcome, no complaints about the food or the drinks, on the sat' evening the younger end were up dancing and having the craic, even with us oldies lol, thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and Louth itself won our hearts - ...

This place serves breakfasts and light lunches. Lunch consists of various baguettes/sandwiches, toasties or jacket potatoes. We had a range of food in our party, all of which was really good. I can recommend the Spanish tostadas (this place are linked to the Spanish restaurant next door). Food was roughly priced between £3 to £5, so really good value.
