We had the chance to try out this new place in Louth on a night out with a staff Christmas party. They should just stick to coffee to be honest. To do coffee and food is one thing but to then try and be a bar at night is another. The atmosphere was strange to say the least there where things out for dogs treats bowls ect at 11pm at night. It didn't have a bar feel to it at all. The staff where rude and unprofessional, I got given a laminated menu at the bar and I flicked through there cocktail list to choose a drink. For it to then arrive frozen and not what the drink is suppose to be like. If I had wanted a over priced slush puppy I would have ordered one. I then brought this up with the staff present and was told they are not a cocktail bar they just sell cocktails. My advice would be if you don't have the first clue on making cocktails then you shouldn't try. The staff was very rude and acted like they knew better, clearly not or you would have served the drink I asked for and not some slushy mess. They then proceeded to talk about me as though I wasn't there to other staff members and members of the public as they knew each other in a rude and unproffesional manner because I didn't like what I was given.instead of just making me another drink or smiling and apologising like normal bars do they decided that I didn't matter as a customer. I think they need to take a leaf out of other places in Louth which do a much better job for what they serve and get off there ivy towers to see they won't be here very long. Avoid...
Read morePopped to Louth today with Lee and my daughter as I had a day off and we had a lovely nosey around the market. Whilst there we thought we'd give the new Lounge coffee and bar a try as it looked quite fancy!
Now I'm a very laid back person and not normally one to moan, but here we go!
We ordered 2 iced french vanilla latte's and a tea, it was reasonably busy but not packed, a good few seats available. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for our drinks! I would have left at this point and gone elsewhere but we had already paid so thought we'd just suck it up and wait.
The young girl came to our table and told us our card payment hadn't gone through, which was slightly confusing as we had paid cash! Anyway, confusion over we proceeded to wait 50 minutes before we got our drinks!!!!
When I questioned mine and Hannah's hot iced coffees I was told oh you didn't specify you wanted iced ones!! I do believe that's what's stated on the menu when I asked for French Vanilla Latte as it's not on the hot drinks section! Well I wasn't waiting another hour for the correct drinks and tbh they were pretty cold anyway so we waited 50 minutes for the wrong drink that was Luke warm and drunk in 5 seconds!! Needless to say I won't be returning and do...
Read moreFamily dinner for my daughter's birthday. There were six of us. The staff were friendly and attentive, the decor lovely and the service excellent. The icing on the cake about this place is the food. I opted for the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Burger which came with Fries and Coleslaw. The portions are generous, the food hot and it was honestly one of the best Burgers l have ever eaten. The rest of the family also opted for Burgers including the Lounge Burger, the Lounge Bacon Cheeseburger and the Bombay Fried Chicken Burger. Everyone was impressed with the quality and taste. There is a varied menu available including Tapas, Flatbreads and Brunch which is served all day. Most main meals range between a very reasonable £9 and £15 but there are a few cheaper options such as sandwiches if you fancy something lighter. There is a good range of desserts available, however we took a birthday cake with us, which the chef kindly brought out, presented to my daughter and then sang Happy Birthday to her which was a lovely gesture. Alfredos is most definitely worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere good to eat in Louth with great...
