Absolutely wonderful day at the beach š we hired two beach huts for 7 adults and 10kids under the age of 8 which in February gave us access to hot drinks and a warm up when they got fed up of jumping in the sea š we were lucky with the weather and had a great day collecting shells and playing all sorts of games. The only let down was that the 2 public toilets nearest to us were not open which with 10 children actually caused quite an issue! Other than that the beach was fabulous, clean well looked after, the beach huts were lovely and clean and had mugs, plates and a kettle as well as deckchairs and the fish and chip shop nearby kept its fryers on an extra half hour for us all to have dinner before heading home. All this and the car park was Ā£2 for the whole day, we will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice clean, quiet blue flag beach. Plenty of shops to buy last-minute beach items and grab an ice cream. Lots of cafes and fish and chip restaurants too. Very family friendly as the sea is a short walk away and access is easy from anywhere along the beach. Parking is plentiful and seems to average Ā£4 per day. Thereās a train and bus which takes you to Haven site (or itās about a 30 mins walk). We had a nice chilled and quiet visit as we stayed during term time (early July). I imagine the beach is busier during school holidays but still a big enough beach for many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great seaside town for walking on an endless beach with plenty of space around you. Like any seaside town, itās packed full of tat shops, arcades and donut stalls. Itās very run down and some of the social distancing is awful. The fish and shop are great and itās a nice please to visit with kids, but be carful as the pavements are busy and the main road is full of cars, so be careful with toddlers.
Walk to Sutton in sea is about an hour, itās much nicer there with a couple of nice pubs.
The beach is super clean and great for kids.
Worth a visit. Parking...
