Warning, no menu shown on the whole outside of the place, so we looked online and picked from the menu accordingly. Had to explain that he’s the BBQ shack burger I want bbq sauce inside it? Also asked for the Big breakfast and when it came it was missing half of the items- questioned the chap to be told sorry, online that was from the old menu from 4yrs ago and we need to update our website……yes I questioned but that’s Why I picked that option because of the items and he didn’t seem to care just to almost to just point out that I ordered from the old menu- despite there being No menus on our table or in the windows….hello?! We were charged higher prices then what was shown despite again being no updated menu out anywhere and that was the best part of the ‘experience’. I work in hospitality and was appalled at the bad customer service but more about the shocking quality of food me and my family were given. Still after explaining I wanted bbq sauce in my mrs bbq chicken shack burger as advertised, I had to confirm yes I want this in the burger- yet she had no sauce and my sons ‘mini burger’ was caked in bbq sauce that it was all over the side of the bun and halfway through he was pointing at his belly crying and refused to eat anymore. I tried some (I am a very experienced cook) and was worse then awful- the burger tasted almost sour and clearly very old and frozen and my son has been off since eating here at 1pm ish (it’s 4pm) and I do not feel great after eating my very bad 2 deep fried frozen sausages and very badly cooked fried egg, that was snotty wet on top and crispy brown underneath, but I mainly put this down to the sour tasting burger I took a bite from. We had a lovely day in Mablethorpe but was very much let down on our lunch which was pretty shocking being polite! We went here based on the 4.4* google reviews which I have now noticed the last 5* review was left for the fish and chip shop next door 🤦🏻‍♂️ and I dare say any reviews were 4years ago like the menu also!

So Please Be Warned- I’m sure if you want to stop for quick pint outside overlooking the sea, it may be fine, but please don’t order the frozen badly cooked food that their online menu does not bear any relevance to the prices or what you get!!! In regards to my son- I will be in touch with the establishment if my son continues to show stomach upset because it’s a joke if you can’t cook a burger or have upto date food or menu!

WDIT: 18:02 my son is being sick no doubt down to your dirty food as he was fine before eating that horrible burger and more then happy to send...

This establishment saved our Sunday. We (a family of 5), had originally been going to The Grange for a Sunday carvery, but due to their incompetence we had to find somewhere at very short notice. So let's start with ease of parking on arrival. Parking is available right outside at the end of the building, charged at 80p and hour using a pay and display meter. Alternatively you can use the Mipermit App, location number is on the back of the machine, as it is on all pay and display meters we have used so far in Mablethorpe. If no spaces are available, there is parking literally on the opposite side of the road. Access to the building is via an entrance facing the sea. This can be reached without using any steps from the carpark or by using steps directly from the roadside. We were greeted as we entered the bar area and shown to our reserved table without any fuss. Carvery and drinks are ordered from the bar, where you are given a ticket and politely asked to wait at your table until called forward for the carvery. I'm guessing this is to stop the queue for the carvery also blocking the entrance to the building. The wait was only about 5mins, probably less. The food was perfect, meats cut professionally and very generous portions. Great flavour and a real taste of home cooked food. The toilets are small but very very clean. The toilets in here are for customers use only, alternative public toilets are available in the car park area. This is a truly genuine family orientated venue, and kindly remind customers of this with their polite signage in the bar and at the entrance. In recognition of Blue Light services and the Military, holders of the Blue Light Card and the Defence Discount Card will get a 7.5% discount. When asked about the Veterens ID Card scheme, a definite yes was not confirmed but staff thought the owners may apply the discount the same as Defence Discount Card holders. Dogs are welcome here, and bowls of fresh water are provided. The Dunes Complex is recommended to everyone. A great place for food, atmosphere, live entertainment or just a refreshing drink. 5* well...

Well, what can we say? Absolutely fantastic little gem of a place! We have been coming to mablethorpe for about 7 years now, however, this is the first year we have popped into the dunes.-and we are so glad that we did! To be honest, one of the reasons we haven't frequented before, is that we assumed that with it been right on the beach side, it would be too expensive for. Large family like ours- how wrong we were! Really good prices on the multitude of drinks available, the food is amazing and certainly won't break the bank, but the main thing for us was the smiley, friendly, polite and welcoming staff. What a great team you have there! Massive mention goes to who I assume is the landlord. (Guy with the moustache). Opened the caberet room for us to seek shelter when there was a torrential downpour outside, and kept checking that we were all ok and having a great time on our many visits back since that time. Brilliant place! Thanks for your...

Was looking for a place to watch the England game with the family whilst enjoying some food...always a tricky task...but this place delivered. We watched the game on a giant screen in the theatre whilst receiving great service in a lovely family atmosphere. Another thing that impressed me was the great range of beers at the bar as it's usually just Madri or Carlsberg/Carling most places. I was spoilt for choice and had a lovely Belgian beer Blue Moon followed by a Staropromen on tap and felt this rivalled weatherspoons for choice which is important for me having a few things to sample during a sesh. Overall a great experience coming from out of town and looking for a good family/drinking/friendly pub and venue!
