We haven't been for a few years, but have been coming to the Beck since about 2005, as our Caravan was in Mablethorpe. IMO It's one of the best places in town for a nice meal out, including their popular carvery. The Beck has plenty of parking (be aware they charge for their parking for non restaurant users) and it's a nice looking place just along about 300yds from Jackson's Arcade in Quebec road at the seafront end of the town. It has a mixture of regular seating, and seating booths along the front side, which we always sit in. We'd booked for our recent visit (first time since COVID started) which is always advisable, and had a Burger, 2 Pizzas + sides of Garlic Bread, Onion Rings, Chips & drinks. We were all feeling hungry, and excited to be back eating in one of our favourite places in Mablethorpe. Ordering was as at the bar, and very straightforward, and were told with the 2 Pizzas we'd ordered, you got a 3rd free! (We couldn't eat it, so they kindly gave us pizza box so we could take it home). Our food arrived within about 15-20 minutes, served by a lovely, friendly lady, and was nicely presented on wooden slabs, OK for pizza, but would've preferred plates for the burger. The food was lovely, with decent tasting pizza, and well cooked. A minor criticism, was the burger came with only a handful of chips in a basket, which was cool, but rather stingy compared to the sides of chips. Our experience on this visit wasn't the best due to a group of rowdy student types, who were constantly swearing, but luckily they were only in for a quick carvery feed up, and soon left. It hasn't changed a lot over the years, although the styling has been modernised, but the staff are still great, and so is the food, and that's what really matters. Overall, good value for those looking for a decent 'pub grub' experience.

Meyself and my partner shared a Loaded Fries with just bacon and cheese. The bacon is the same flavour as gammon, it was nice and thick. Tasted lovely but definitely worth noting as it's different to other places I've had loaded fries, but not a bad difference, just different. My mum and dad only went for the first time the other night and went back for the same thing, that really loved and enjoyed it, especially since my mum is coeliac, it's hard to come by places that will properly cater for her. So the food for me an my partner was £8.99,ny child with her chips and nuggies was about £6 but the drinks is really the only part we're I feel a bit conned. £8 for two pints of coke 🤯 They really don't have to charge that much to make a profit, they really don't. Overall I wouldn't mind trying the carvery as it looked nice and would go back. I probably would stick to water though. 💯

1st time here for all of us...all had a different meal, and I had carvery. We all enjoyed what we had, and as usual, I really enjoyed my dessert 😁... It was unexpectedly light and fluffy, so not heavy and rich as it looks in pic above! The Beck will probably be our 'go to' eating place whenever we are in Mablethorpe now, due to being a good 'all-rounder' - good food, reasonable prices, and good staff/atmosphere. It's not Top Of The List yet.... but maybe a few more visits will take it up a notch! 😋 Been here a few more times since my first review and it is still pretty consistent. Their roasts are served every day of the week, and that is what I go for, so I can't comment on the rest if the menu, although it all looks pretty good... Basic, but good is the best way to explain it, but I know the desserts are a hit because I've tried them all! 😉

There is not much open in Mablethorpe on an October evening, and even fewer restaurants. Despite this being more or less the only choice, the service and food were excellent. Every night, they have a well stocked carvery with ample portions and choice of items. In addition, they have a full menu of alternatives including very well made and tasty Pizzas and a reasonable range of beers and other drinks. Some evenings, they have theme nights and the Indian was particularly enjoyable. The staff were amazingly helpful and courteous, swapping items on menu choices to making sure my 90 year old Aunt was comfortable and enjoying herself. The costs range from unbelievably cheap for the carvery to very competitive for other items. What's not to like, this was a great find for us.

Mixed opinions here! Had a table of 4, some enjoyed, some not so much for me if you enjoy a real hearty original ingredient meal then this is a great place - The atmosphere is great, big space filled with a resturant, sports bar and a few gambling machines, along with an outside eating area and plenty of parking. Staff were great, some a little more to the point than others - As for the food, the large Carvery was more than enough, 3 pieces of meat and an extra yorkshire pudding. Not only Carvery but The Beck offers another food menu option with a daily/weekly rotating menu. Food & drink is reasonably priced, along with being dog friendly (I believe) Maybe only outside.

We went there for the carvery and it did not disappoint. All the meat options were excellent and well cooked but the star of the show was the Turkey pie, great crust and good meaty filling. The Beck is a nice pub, spacious and clean. The staff were friendly but somewhat annoying. We asked for a small plate and was told we were not allowed one and needed to buy a full priced meal which comes with a plate. We had 2 small children, one was only 3 years old and it is ludicrous to think they would eat a full carvery. Not value for money paying £8.99 for a very small piece of meat and few vegetables. The menu needs to be changed to accommodate for the little ones.
