Mables Tea Room — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Myself, my husband and our two dogs went to Lady B's for lunch. While the food was good I can only give 1 start due to the manners of the staff. While there my dogs barked at some other dogs. A member of the staff, or owner, (I'm not sure which) came to see them and while he spoke to them, they continued to bark. (if he had walked away, they would have shut up) After this, I covered them in their pushchair to keep them quiet. They remained quiet for the rest of our time there. However, when my husband went to pay, he heard the member of staff talking disrespectfully about us to another customer. While I totally admit, my dogs were in the wrong for barking, I did take measures to keep them quiet and am totally appalled by the staff member. Say what you want to other staff in private, but don't disrespect customers while they are still there. For this I give 1 star and advise others: if you have a dog that might bark at something, avoid this...

Booking in advance is no use, booked for 2pm then the owner said we'd have to wait 30mins and he'd ring me. 2hrs later no phone call so we went back and at their closing time he offered us a high tea because that's all he had left I'm guessing. No apology or nothing and blamed us for requesting outside seating on our booking!! 2hrs waiting!! and he says he prides himself on EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Basically what happened was he let walk ins in before looking after the people who booked. I hope these walk ins come back in the winter months like we would have if you'd given a toss about us. Won't be recommended this place to any of my friends or guests, I'll tell them to avoid it as this isn't the first time we've experienced poor service and then had snotty arrogant responses from here, more fool me for going...

We came here looking for some lunch with our dog, it looked nice outside and the reviews were good, it had a sign saying under new management so we weren't sure if it was sill living up to the reviews. Turns out it is dog friendly as long as you sit outside which was covered so was fine. The food was nice they did a cream tea and a cheese tea which was nice for a more savoury taste, it came with a wedge of cheese some crackers a small serving of plowmans pickle and a cheese scone rather then the sultana in the cream tea.
