View menu on website, thought reasonable. Drove there just to find prices on their website way out of date. Actual prices are on average 20% more expensive than what they publish on their Web page. Plenty tables to choose from, bar staff very polite friendly and efficient in taking my order. Took in excess of 40minutes for food to arrive. 2x scampi & chips and one alleged chicken tikka masala and rice. When it finally arrived the tikka masala had already skinned over, obviously from sitting under the heat lamps for quite some time. Chicken was exceptionally dry, so was either over microwaved or was yesterday's left over carvery turkey covered in Pre made jarred curry sauce. Rice was clearly Pre cooked microwave uncle Ben's or similar. I was informed that the scampi were OK, and the chips were frozen deep fried, and not homemade, and they're mushy peas, just like my tikka had skinned over from being sat under the heat lamps. Having spent many years in the catering industry, I found the service good, the speed and quality of the food somewhat way below par, which is a shame given the previous review of this place recently

Welcome with a warm smile from Graham, how let us choose where we wanted to sit. The choice and amount of seating was great, window seats conservatory seats main dining area, all very clean, comfortable and well placed. Order at the bar from the table menu along with your table number. We had two breakfasts (full english and the large) both included free tea or coffee, though we paid the extra to have a latte and a moka. Staff were extremely pleasant, well presented. They attended to us at the table with our very hot drinks and cutlery, sauces and salt and pepper. The breakfasts arrived prompt and hot, well presented on white square crockery. Sausage was nice, along with a rossti a great change from the common hashbrowns. Enjoyed at our own pace and not disturbed until we had finished eating, when asked how we enjoyed the food. All in all a fantastic experience and great food.

Haven’t been in here for approx 5 years as it wasn’t a nice place. However we was told to go in again so gave it a try. WOW what a job Graham has done to the place! We only went in for a pint. Went back the next morning to try breakfast! Graham then stepped it up again and served us an amazing breakfast to the point we went back for tea there and I had another breakfast. The girls all left abit as it was a massive meal but fantastic! We will be returning this morning for breakfast! By far the best place in mablethorpe for food drink and hospitality so far. Thanks again Graham 👍

i’ve eaten twice in this pub the first time I ate the steak baguette it was absolutely beautiful. Steak was cooked perfection but I did notice a horrible horrible smell coming from the carvery unit. It smelt like rotting food. It was very offputting. I decided to come back again and try the food they were quite busy so we decided to have a carvery. The service was okay we got our ticket and made our way to the carvery. There was two meats and huge amount of vegetables and probably the worst gravy I’ve ever had in my whole life, it was like water taste vegetables were obviously all frozen apart from the carrots and there was a terrible smell. We were absolutely starving so we took our meals back to our table and started to eat our food. I’m very sorry to say and I hate complaining but this was the worst carvery I’ve possibly had in a very long time, there was no taste at all like I said the vegetables were all frozen ones apart from the carrots gravy was terrible. The Yorkshire puddings were frozen Yorkshire puddings it was quite an expensive carvery It wasn’t one of the cheapest….. I got home that night and for the last five days I’ve been suffering with what I can only think is food poisoning, I have been on holiday for the whole week. I’ve been very sick in bed. I’m hoping that they can read this comment because I feel that their carvery needs a complete revamp and by the smell of it the carvery unit needs chucking away if you’re going to do that many vegetables, you need to make sure that everything is very clean and probed. The food was not hot. I’m hoping this feedback can improve the situation in case other people have got food poisoning from...

Eat here at your peril

We visited today (Friday 15th November at around 2:30 pm) We ordered 2 mixed grills at a cost of £19 each. After waiting 20-30 minutes for the food to arrive our first impressions of the portion size for nearly £20 each wasn’t great

The stake was small and extremely fatty I ate mine but my wife couldn’t eat hers because of it being so fatty The chicken was extremely dry and flaky The gammon, sausage and pork were absolutely disgusting. We had a bite of each and left the rest

The only food that was edible was the two small onion rings and chips

On asking if our food was ok by a member of staff we obviously told her no the pork, gammon, chicken ,stake and sausage was disgusting

She made us aware that this morning they actually threw some meat away because it was off. So we were actually sold gone off meat no wonder it all tasted disgusting.

She gave us a refund for one mixgrill but I’m now hoping not to get food poisoning from the little bit of meat and sausage we did eat..

We are also in the process of reporting this pub to the food standards agency so expect a visit ..,

Never ever using this venue for food ever again and i would advise against anyone else using this place not to. They think it’s fine to knowingly sell customers...
