Sparrows Nest is a super place for absolutely anyone. A small park for children enclosed. The park itself is very spacious, it has a Maritime Museum which is brilliant, so informative with lots to see snd get involved with. A separate place in the museum for children and school groups. In the summer there is usually a children's afternoon for 6 Thursdays. Hopefully the craft stalls will be back. There's also a bowling green, cafe,Italian restaurant, both have super food and good prices, toilets, fish pond. World war museum but not always open. Belle Vue Park is a stones throw away as is the Tingdene Caravan park. People won't be disappointed coming, to meet others, have a picnic ot just a wander feeding the squirrels. Dogs are welcome too.
