We were in the area for a few days and ate out every night. We found Sgt Pepper’s via a Google search and was immediately intrigued. Open since 1982, away from the main Lowestoft town centre (with local parking) if you are a 60s or Beatles fan, I think it’s safe to say you are gonna LOVE this place. Brimming with Beatles and decade related memorabilia (there’s even a mock zebra crossing and a drum kit on the ceiling plus numerous juke boxes dotted around), even the stairs to the toilets and cubicles have numerous Beatles posters and photos, everything a budding Beatles fan would ever want or need – forget The Cavern Club, this is place to be….So how about the food and drink ?? Love the menu, pulling on musical references (see pic), very clever. However………………. Be careful what you select as some meals (for me) offered much better value for money. I had the “ZZ Top”, which is basically a burger in a bun with some coleslaw and a dollop of pulled pork and 2/3 of a plate of French fries (always a good way of making a meal look more than it is) while my wife had “The Supremes” – an absolutely incredible chicken breast covered in pepper sauce with a nice side salad, some huge spicy potato wedges and a dip, I was envious and tbh, ended up finishing her meal because she was absolutely full. I had room LOL. I recommend you think a great deal about your choice of main meal. The food was fresh and well cooked and arrived nice ‘n hot. I do wonder if a number of customers eat here for the kudos and intrigue and the food is excellent, but a bit pricey if you’re just having a burger. Budweiser on draught and a nice selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, something for everyone. Staff were pleasant. Be warned, the place closes relatively early (we turned up initially at 8.45pm ON A SATURDAY only to be told that kitchen was shut down as the place closes at 9.30 !!). Needless to say, we went back a few days later (our last meal before we went home) and got in at 6.45. Overall, well worth a visit if you’re say, within a 15-20 mile radius, especially if you’re a huge Beatles fan, but some meals (for me) seemed a bit expensive. Doubt we’ll go again, simply because we live over 200 miles away, but as we were staying in the area, so glad we went....

Ok, first time being at sergent peppers, having lived here for 5 years! The look of the food was exceptional, garlic bread with cheese was out of this word, but the rest very doubtful! We ordered garlic bread with cheese and nachos to start! Nachos whichever way you want to look at it was cold! For mains a deluxe buger and the vegetarian lasagne, with chicken wings on the side! For the vegetarian lasagne all I could taste was mushroom, now if you like mushrooms then all good, but if you want a little bit more them maybe it's not for you! The deluxe burger was under cooked and luke warm at its best! The chicken wings were a hit and miss as some were cooked and some were not! For someone who has looked forward to going to this "themed" restaurant it was a let down! Staff were at most attentive to a degree where I think they overheard the moans! Will I go again? most definitely not! Will I recommend? Again sadly not! Pull your finger out sergent peppers, you have the ability and capability of turning g this place into an exceptional place for...

Decided to pop in for a mid week treat, was immediately greeted by absolutely lovely staff members, started off with garlic bread and prawn cocktail whilst the garlic bread was surprisingly a whole baguette (that my 6 year old loved) the prawn cocktail was super and had lots of prawns sauce and lemon. We both decided on a burger for mains, my son enjoyed his burger and chips immensely whereas I found the burger to be a little bit dry and average (still edible just not mind blowing), we ended the meal with a coffee and ice cream. Whilst the burger wasn't the best I've ever had I think the kids meal was absolutely brilliant for the price, big portions and was very much enjoyed by my son. But the reason we will definitely be returning in the future is the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff being do friendly, attentive and kind :) would definitely recommend to other parents if looking for a groovy meal to treat the...

Came in on last night of our holiday. We were intrigued by the outside signage. I had the pork belly, Mrs F the steak and the all my loving cocktail. Guinness for me. Despite the menu saying there's a wait on steaks, our food came really quickly. Both our meals were cooked perdectly, the fries fresh and hot. I must admit, the pork belly beat me, 2 massive really well cooked and tasty ribs. We finished a raspberry revolver to share, amazing 😋. Great atmosphere, background music a real trip down memory lane. The decor is a real throwback too, especially if your' a gent, going to spend a penny on/ in penny lane 😁. Thanks to the team here at Sgt Peppera for a lovely meal and experince 😃

The service was pretty good. As long as you don't have a steak it's not too expensive. I had the surf and turf, I was a bit underwhelmed by the steak, it was cooked rare like I asked, the only problem was it had no seasoning at all which left it rather bland. The chicken in the chicken burger tasted rubbery, which didn't appeal to my wife. The kids nuggets portion was a decent size. The lemon sorbet I had for dessert was very nice and refreshing.
