A wonderful family park. Dog walkers are careful to pick up dog poo and locals are proud of the park and take care that it is always left clean. There are picnic tables if you want to spend the whole day there. The park has a fascinating history that is well worth researching and exploring. There is a beautiful range of trees, shrubs and plants, for example there is a huge Mulberry tree that the kids of Eastbourne delight in climbing up year round, and devouring the berries of in autumn, and a Medlar tree, an old Tudor favourite. The gardens are well laid out around a central wildlife pond and there were several very informative boards providing wildlife and local history...

Lovely bowling green which is now closed due to the pandemic. Plenty of seating for picnicing or for watching the bowling (when it resumes). A small, peaceful, friendly park for us locals. Pond with ducks... the source I believe of the Bourne Stream....
