Absolutely awful. Visited here after hearing great things about it and after it had won awards. Visited with a group of friends and we all ordered different mains. We were all severely disappointed in the mains. They lack taste, spice and the sauce seemed burnt and split. It looked sort of lumpy and was very dark. Not creamy and smooth at all. The chicken was also very dry and tender. How people like the food here, I do not know. I have had shop brought curries which have more flavour. The pilau rice which should be yellow and full of saffron came to the table white and lacking flavour again. The garlic naan was soggy, undercooked and the garlic was dumped in large clumps. Honestly, awful experience.

Neither did any of the females enjoy the meal or service, kids waited almoat an hour with only 2 popdoms to share between 6 people, not a penny discount cost us almost one hundred pounds, I've made this restaurant on the blacklist so that we NEVER ever go there again, even by mistake. Food was smelling like it was old re microwaved. Chicken tikka was not even red, to be honest I am God fearing, a good Muslim I wouldn't write this if this was not true, my Allah is watching, this service was totally nonsense. We are Muslim's so are they, they didn't even bother to give 3 popdoms between 6 of us although it was almost an hour wait for old reheated food. Sad.

Great Food and a lovely atmosphere. Ideal for dining in on special nights out or for getting take aways when you just want a great curry. Food is always cooked fresh and is always very tasty served by friendly and attentive staff.

I'm not sure what was worse, the starters or the staff. Didn't even make it to mains the food was so appalling. Service was awful and after being served the worst calamari and "chef's special" (which consisted of precicly two prawns, two tiny pieces of chicken and the driest Indian sausage roll) we decided to get the bill. We left most of the food and they kept trying to push us to order more even though it was clear we didn't enjoy the food. We was then charged twice for the "chefs special" ( if that was there special I would hate to know what the rest of the food tasted like) when we questioned why we charged double they said it was because there was two of us- this was not stated anywhere on the menu and that this was the case, they started shouting and my partner had to tell them to keep their voice down, we said the food was awful which is why we didn't order mains and they...

absolutely NO. very rude staff. I have been there last night with my wife and friends and only left disappointed. being Indians ourselves, we all felt it's a SHAME on the Spice Gardens staff to put up such an ugly show. Not seen such behaviour in India as well. It's the worst experience in our 8 day tour to south England. The guy was so ANGRY at us just because I asked him to give me a fresh plate. I being allergic to specific ingredients in the food and I accidentally put that in my plate. and many other insulting comments and gestures by their staff to myself, my wife and my friends.

Based on our experience last night, I sincerely recommend NOT TO GO and particularly DO NOT GO with your family or friends because you will only end up in embarrassment, disappointment and WORST moments of your life which happened to us...
