Read moreI'm not sure what was worse, the starters or the staff. Didn't even make it to mains the food was so appalling. Service was awful and after being served the worst calamari and "chef's special" (which consisted of precicly two prawns, two tiny pieces of chicken and the driest Indian sausage roll) we decided to get the bill. We left most of the food and they kept trying to push us to order more even though it was clear we didn't enjoy the food. We was then charged twice for the "chefs special" ( if that was there special I would hate to know what the rest of the food tasted like) when we questioned why we charged double they said it was because there was two of us- this was not stated anywhere on the menu and that this was the case, they started shouting and my partner had to tell them to keep their voice down, we said the food was awful which is why we didn't order mains and they...
Read moreabsolutely NO. very rude staff. I have been there last night with my wife and friends and only left disappointed. being Indians ourselves, we all felt it's a SHAME on the Spice Gardens staff to put up such an ugly show. Not seen such behaviour in India as well. It's the worst experience in our 8 day tour to south England. The guy was so ANGRY at us just because I asked him to give me a fresh plate. I being allergic to specific ingredients in the food and I accidentally put that in my plate. and many other insulting comments and gestures by their staff to myself, my wife and my friends.
Based on our experience last night, I sincerely recommend NOT TO GO and particularly DO NOT GO with your family or friends because you will only end up in embarrassment, disappointment and WORST moments of your life which happened to us...
