Booked our table a week in advance, however when we arrived we found our Reserved table for four had been given to a retired couple and we were forced to sit at two small tables in a cramped area.

Even when a second four-person table became vacant soon before our food arrived, the management came over to tell us a party of people who had walked off the street and just ordered were given priority ahead of us.

It was soon clear that they were regulars by the way they called the young lad serving by his first name.

We nearly walked out. Instead when our food arrived we ate it and left. It was a pity as the food was good and we were going to order a sweet.

The experience left a sour edge to what could have been a very pleasant meal and we would seriously think twice before...

Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this pub when down at the weekend to celebrate Wrexham AFC promotion to the league with other fans who couldn't get tickets to the game and had a brilliant time. The landlord and landlady put the match on TV and welcomed us all with a great warmth and kindness. Made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble and atmosphere in the pub was great. When we left we thanks both for their hospitality and It was so warming to not only shake hands but embrace in a heartfelt hug. Would 100 % recommend a visit and the food served looked amazing and people who ate where all happy. Good old fashioned pub which should be supported and preserved. Can't wait to return when we are next down Devon. Two happy...

Meal was ok didn't expect much for the two for £20.00 .. Barmaid was pleasant and bubbly, chef seemed a little cheesed off.. The pie I had even tho microwaved then crisped after was tasty and full of meat.. My partner had the hunters chicken which was lovely as she put it, just needed more sauce. Chips where good too. The onion rings where a tad overcooked but overall its pub grub. It was tasty, if it wasn't for the tough crust on the pie and the overcooked onion rings then it would have been a 5* Friendly atmosphere.. Not bad .. Nor...
