Livermead Sands beach is a long stretch of red sand parallel to the main seafront road between Torquay and Paignton. There is a designated water-skiing area here and the beach is largely used by water-sports enthusiasts during the summer months. The beach is made up from sand, shingle and rocks. At low tide it’s possible to rock hop around the rocks from Corbyn Head beach and Institute Beach, but beware of the incoming tide and don’t get cut off. At high tide the beach completely disappears. There isn’t anything in the way of facilities at Livermead but it isn’t a long walk round to neighbouring Corbyn beach which does have good amenities.
