"ABBEY MEADOWS MARCH 2025"..
The grassy area is a natural feature where visitors can sit and relax in the sun during the warmer months of the year.. 🙂
Observers will note the old bridge, as a natural stream once coursed its way though the Park Meadows.. 👀
During summer months the meadows facilitate 'foreign student events' so the area might not be as quite as one would expect.. 👻
Noisy Seasonal Events are held here so research your visiting times for a natural and peaceful time.. 👀 🙂
The grass here can be lush and comfortable to sit down on for picnics, unfortunately this can be cut far too often which ruins the natural setting.. 👀
Flocks of Wild Birds such as Jackdaws, Crows can often be seen feeding, roosting in the Mature Trees.. 🙄
Bats can often be seen at the nearby Kings Ponds during the evening summer months, along with House Martins.. 👀
One might even see occasional Buzzards which sometimes nest in specific trees, keen observers will definitely be able to identify the call of Buzzards.. 😉
You might even hear Tawny Owls in the nearby area..
During the winter months parts of the meadows are prone to flooding with the sea waves breaking over the promenade wall and coastal road, the latter being closed in extreme stormy weather.. 👻
Please take your rubbish with you, put your rubbish in the nearby rubbish bins provided..

The grass is always going through many different things depending on what’s happened lately, hence the 4/5 review as it can be lovely but we need the entertainment for Torbay and with that comes dead grass and a swamp like puddle area at times.
