Absolutely incredible place to come for watersports; whether that is sailing ones posh yacht, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling or just swimming and diving under goggles on like I did. The bathing felt Nice and sheltered and I felt very safe. It's just a shame the ice cream van at the northern car park doesn't do a Mr whippy, but instead scoops of solid stuff which just rolls off of your cone when you lick too hard haha. Brilliant place to watch the world go by. Next warm day I'm coming with a snorkel kit and picnic. There's a cafe but we didn't get anything as the queue was too long. Visit the crescent above the beach to top off your day for drinks, snacks, views, and more drinks. You won't be disappointed with your day ☺️

Nice beach for those who don't mind sacrificing soft sand for silence and solitude. Large rocks and pebbles lie underfoot, so sea shoes are advised for those going in; while hiking or climbing boots are wise for those wishing to scramble over the boulders and explore the rock pools. For less energetic activities, the walk along Meadfoot Sea Road is flat and level, suitable for those with mobility restrictions, and links the cafe at one end with Meadfoot Meadow in Ilsham valley at the other. All options have stunning views of the sea, cliffs, and coves of this part of the coast. Those keen on walking further can access Daddyhole Plain and Ilsham Marine Drive from this beach, with their own respective charms.

Very Mediterranean feel. The beach is a mix of course sand, pebbles and rocks: great for rock pooling. Meadfoot Beach Cafe serves good reasonably priced food 12-3pm (as at Aug24) and a fantastic view, there is public toilets in the same location as the cafe that are nice and clean with baby change facilities (30p pay by card). The main beach (near the green and blue beach huts) is NOT dog friendly in peak season. The 'middle breach' is dog-friendly in peak season. Parking in the surrounding roads is free, at the time of writing. There is two resort style hotels, a Georgian Cresent to the left (looking inland) and a common 1980s beach resort hotel to the right.

I visited this beach on a Sunday with my family this video was taken at 17:30 in May and it was very serene here, you would never know it was a bank holiday weekend. The tide was in, I believe and there was still some beach area sun bathed. The beach is grading and stone and fine shingles. People bring their dogs so watch out for poop. There are a few places to go down to the beach and if you are fortunate there is some free parking along the road side. There is a cafe that looks out over the sea and some beach huts to use as a base that I believe can be rented

Loved it. With clean sand, clear waters and an 'Excellent' rating, Meadfoot is great for a day out at the beach. A great mix of sandy and rocky areas mean it is interesting for kids and they will be kept occupied for hours. The cafe is great for friendly service, value and quality of drinks and snacks, plus the ice cream is excellent. The Dive Centre caters for those sub aqua types + paddle boards can be hired. Snorkling kit is worth a buy / hire, as there quite a variety of things to see under the water too. Will continue to go back! 👍👌😎

Amazing beach with lovely views and was nice and quiet. It was lovely weather on a bank holiday weekend, but at the end of May. Could be a different story in the height of the summer though!! And beware, the walk down it's nice, a long twisting road, only too about 10 mins to walk down, it's the getting up that's the hard part!! 😂😂 There is a cable car system to ferry people up and down by was not being operated on our visit. Check before you go if you don't want the steep walk back up. I assume it's operation is seasonal. Lovely beach.
