The staff seemed nice and I enjoyed my ice cream in a come, but I was very disappointed to discover there were no options to avoid single use cups when having a coffee at the tables provided.

I also noticed many people sat at the tables eating from polystyrene plates.

It would be wonderful if the cafe could make some simple changes which could help us enjoy what I am sure is tasty food and drinks without us having to generate rubbish.

I am aware that some things "can be recycled" but this is not an environmentally responsible or energy efficient solution. So a wash and reuse option for people who are not getting takeaway would be more environmentally responsible.

I am a business owner in the tourism industry and I have made many efforts to eliminate single use items. It's not always easy, but I believe its the right...

A lovely little place by the sea with friendly staff and of course payment by contactless which is the way the world is going (and I prefer as I never have any cash on me!!). Not many places to sit outside - might be tough when busy - but we found a nice spot overlooking the sea.

Easy to get to, so don't bother with a car if you are able to walk about of course.

We had the "fully loaded" breakfast baps and were not left disappointed. I don't even really like fried eggs but no problem getting this bap down. Tasty. With a hash brown too for good measure

Another small but important point...my other half loves her tea black and mega strong. The lady at the café asked if she wanted the teabag left in without being prompted and I think these things...

Not sure why our experience seems to differ quite significantly from the majority of other reviews. The location is great, as many others have said, and the view is amazing, especially in nice weather.

The food and drink is another story, however. We had a latte and an americano, with an egg bap. The coffee was as per our expectations for a place like this: very average. The egg bap was poor - the bap had not been toasted on the inside (not a big deal) and it wasn’t buttered, which made it dry. Additionally, the egg had not been seasoned at all, so it was all rather tasteless. Considering the bap’s price (£4.50) I’d have expected a bit effort.

In summary, lovely view, average coffee and...

Arriving by accident at Meadfoot beach by virtue of exploring the “posh” side of Torquay and passing some absolutely magnificent mansions we were overwhelmed by how lovely this beach and the cafe perched just above it are. It’s a perfect “Shangri la” and feels like you are on the Mediterranean with stunning views in all directions. The cafe has a good snack menu and the food coming out looked really good. We just had coffee and a biscuit and sat and relaxed and people watched for 45 mins. Staff were friendly and attentive and all in all the whole area is a real hidden gem

I love this place. Since I moved in Devon I always go here when I can. I have to tell that this place get busier and busier all the times I go there but it is worth it. Meadfoot Beach Cafe is right on the beach. You can drink your coffee with the brizee touching your face and your hairs. The drink are nice and also every food they made are delightful. I have try the toast and it is nice but also the chicken burger (another time) is tasty. The bun is fresh and obviously the chicken. I raccomend it!
