We recently dined at The Crescent Restaurant at the Osborne Hotel.
All I can say is WOW It was a truly exceptional experience!! We ate from their newest Festive Menu. The dishes were not only beautifully rich, Beautifully plated but also balanced. Truly commendable!
The manager who served us, Matt, deserves special mention.
He effortlessly created a relaxed atmosphere for all diners while oozing a remarkable level of professionalism. He even went above and beyond by crafting bespoke off menu cocktails for us, adding an extra enjoyment to our evening.
To our surprise, we received two complimentary courses!! A delightful home-made Focaccia with whipped butter and a refreshing Watermelon and Vodka sorbet. These unexpected treats were thoughtful really made us feel special.
What really set this restaurant apart was the genuine care for customer feedback Matt ensured our thoughts were communicated to the chefs after each course. Towards the end of the night, Chef David came out to introduce himself, talking about their efforts to elevate the dining experience at the Osborne Hotel.
The Osborne Hotel is undoubtedly on the right path to reviving the dining spirit and I can't recommend The Crescent Restaurant enough for delivering some of the tastiest food I've savored in many years.

Read moreI am not particularly surprised by this as the reviews were already average. But I decided to give it a go. It was a Saturday night but not that busy. Still, the service was exceptionally slow.
Nobody asked or offered us water. The table was set and full of bread crumbles(again no one offered to clean). As mentioned at the top of the menu, the complimentary sourdough bread never made it to the table and was not even mentioned by the waitress. We ordered the classic fish and chips which were average and arrived very late. On the kid's menu, we ordered again the classic spaghetti bolognese which was supposed to be with cheese and garlic bread. However, we had to remind the waitress that there was garlic bread with it and she was completely surprised( lack of knowledge of the menu).
It was overall a below-average experience and we paid nearly £70 for 2 adults with 2 mains and 2 drinks + a kids meal for a...
Read moreI dined at The Crescent for dinner and enjoyed their new autumn menu, from start to finish the whole meal felt like you were being taken on a deliciously delightful journey through the best of the autumn season. The Tandoori Spiced Scallops, the handmade focaccia with whipped butter, and the pan roasted Guinea Fowl were my personal highlights. The Guinea Fowl dish is the best meat dish I’ve ever eaten: the plating, the explosion of flavours and the care put in with each and every element was perfection. Highly recommend a visit, our server Hamesh was wonderful, he made us feel so well looked after, as if we were the only ones in...
