Ignored at the door by three members of staff. A pleasant gentleman trying his best did come over and apologise and seat us. No one served us then for around 20 minutes. Two of us ordered the cooked breakfast which was £10.95 and one of our party ordered the French toast for £6.95. We were shocked when our plates came over. The cooked breakfasts were tiny with burnt bacon and a huge soggy mushroom, and the coffee was like hot milk. My friend's french toast was one slice of toast on a plate with burnt bacon on the top. Coffees supposed to be included with the cooked breakfasts but were added on to the bill. Service was absolutely shocking so no point in complaining. We will never be back and I don't ever recommend it to anyone. It's always has a terrible reputation in the Ferry and I'm afraid nothing has changed no matter who runs it. Why open a restaurant when you've no idea what you're doing.

This is a fantastic location for drinks or food. There is plenty of parking nearby. I cycled, and they have three bike racks. It overlooks the Tay (it would be better if cars/vans were not parked opposite), and I was delighted to see a couple of dolphins jumping about. I stayed from 10 am to 3.30 pm today, had cappuccino, did some work, had lunch, and had a cuppa tea with my friend. The servers were excellent, very helpful, and accommodating. The cappuccino and tea were good, and I had lentil soup for lunch. It was flavourful, creamy and savoury but slightly salty for my palate. Otherwise, it was okay. Maybe sourdough bread would be preferable to accompany the soup. Overall, I had a good experience. Would definitely go back again and try some of the main meals available, they do look good with plenty of options but I am not hungry enough.

Great place, delicious food and friendly staff. A group of us visited this place for lunch on a Wednesday. I didn't expect it to be busy and it was. So I'd definitely recommend booking a table in advance. The food was fantastic. I had the fish butty which was served with coleslaw and fries and it was delicious. For dessert, I chose a cookie dough slice and again it was to die for. They have a very extensive menu so everyone's needs are pretty much catered for. Their cakes look amazing. My friend had the carrot cake and she loved it. They have milk alternatives like oat milk. It's not a cheap place but very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There are baby change facilities. They have a kids menu and provide highchairs on request. There's on-street parking available - lots of room in fact.

The description of the restuarant, i.e. previously a 1930's bathing shelter located on the banks of the River Tay, initially drew my interest and sounded lovely. However, this is where "lovely" ends - dead ends. The service is gob-smackingly awful to the point of being condescending, abrasive, derisive and plain and simple RUDE. I reserved a table for four for brunch to celebrate my 12th wedding anniversary with friends. When we arrived I reminded the waitress that I had a voucher. Before we were even offered refreshments the manageress/owner came to the table and infront of my guests, and loudly, stated that the details I had provided were unacceptable - she embarassed me completely. I had to produce the voucher I was going to use to pay - I had given all the required details when I made the reservation and I also had the voucher code and reference number AND mobile app with me at the restuarant but none of these were acceptable and she refused to serve us until I produced a "security code". Despite all the evidence that I had to show that I had bought and paid for the voucher the owner/manageress told me that she was doing me a favour by giving me the opportunity to use her computer to go online and recover the security code. I was unable to access my voucher account and the women said that without it she would not accept the voucher and reference number as payment. I suggested that she could use the voucher and reference number to phone Groupon and get the "security number" but she said that they do not do that because people don't provide the correct number. I offered to phone her immediatley after we returned home and she again stated that this was unacceptable as people gave the wrong numbers. The bottom line was that she wanted the paper voucher only. No where is this stipulated on the voucher terms and conditions and I had everything that the T&C's did stipulate I should have. We ended up leaving and what should have been a lovely morning spent with friends and celebrating a momentous occassion turned into a VERY unpleasant, stressful and horrible event all thanks to a women who has absolutely no manners and no idea of customer service. Please don't give her the satisfaction of thinking that she is doing you a favour for serving you - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. No wonder they only have a rating of 2.8 stars with Google reviews - wish I had checked that before purchasing...

Very disappointing customer service. This is a great location with great potential. There is always a good volume of customers here due to being right on the beach and in the sun! Is a great place to stop for a drink, coffee or cake, and is dog friendly!

Food service is often slow but today was beyond bad. We waited an hour and a half for a sandwich, as did 3 other tables (2 of which left with a refund before getting their food). We had to ask repeatedly during that time if our food would be long, we were repeatedly told it would be looked into. No one apologized or came to us to tell us where the food is or how long it will be. No one came to offer any explanation or offer any drinks. A plate of food came out (for a customer who was so sick of waiting and left). The manager then gave that food to a table who said they were not even waiting for food, but said it was for free as would go to waste... The 2 adjacent tables waiting for food for over an hour were not offered the food and still no apology.

During this time none of the tables were cleared, so plates of half eaten food was being stacked up on empty tables by customers. There seemed to be 3 people on service as well as the manager.

After again asking for an update we were told by the manager that the 2 chefs are refusing to cook. And then apparently our food was ready, but then it didnt come out. We were finally given a refund and our food as a takeaway as we waited so long.

It was not very busy, it took an hour for people to get their food, but people were being turned away as the chefs couldn't do more food.

The management of this situation was extremely poor, with terrible communication and lack of responsibility and accountability by the management team. This impacts urban beachs reputation and likelihood for locals...

Great views of the Tay estuary. I walked up to the part of the bar with the beer taps.I thought I would try a pint of Heineken Silver:never had it before. The girl behind the bar acknowledged me as I walked up then...nothing. I stood at the bar waiting to be served. The girl stood two and a half feet from me doing nothing. At this point a young gentleman walked through from the back area: perhaps this was who I was waiting for. The highly trained 'mixologist'. Nope, he walked off through the bar to elsewhere. I decided to ask her 'excuse me,but who am I waiting for?' This caused her face to crease and a look of pain spread across it. Was i waiting for someone she asked. No, I replied, I would like to order a drink. 'Oh' she exclaimed, could I come round the bar to do that please. After a short journey; of of 3.5 metres, I arrived at the exclusively appointed spot for ordering. Now I was visible, result. I asked if I could order a drink. The girl asked if it was to take-away. This threw me. I answered no. I'd like to drink it here. We got through the whole ordering and paying business. I received my change and waited. The girl made no attempt to pour my drink. I waited. Only a minute or so, but when your standing there with a a fully paid up member of staff in front of you and the service stops. Then she takes payment from another, the only other, customer while you stand there waiting. It's confusing. No explanations offered. At this point the 'mixologist' re appeared and poured my drink.I don't know who owns/runs this place but they are taking division of labour to the extreme. Heineken Silver:light, vapid, not...
