Our second attempt at a rhinoplasty procedure with the Este Medical Group Glasgow turned into an absolute nightmare—an experience so disgraceful that I will fully document and post all details in full view at a later date. I want to strongly warn anyone considering undergoing any procedure or treatment with this group: proceed with caution. If the procedure or treatment doesn't meet expectations or is performed incorrectly, Este Medical will not refund your money nor accept any fault. Instead, you’ll likely be pressured into spending more.

Our experience was appalling, handled with the least amount of care and service. Safety is paramount, and I do not wish for anyone else to endure what we did. I’ve advised my daughter and other family members to post their own experiences separately. While Bobby at Este is approachable on a personal level, he fails to address critical feedback, which could help improve the service for future clients—something that doesn’t seem to concern him.

One incident, in particular, will give you an idea of the type of organization you're dealing with. In Istanbul, an Este representative aggressively tried to force my daughter to sign a disclaimer by shoving only the signature page across the table while withholding the main document. This rep gatecrashed our breakfast at the Hilton Maslak Istanbul at 6:45 a.m., just before we were due to leave for the airport. The rudeness and arrogance were palpable, causing distress to my family and shocking other guests. The rep implied that if we didn’t sign the document, they wouldn’t honor the flights they had booked—even though we had already paid for them.

After Este botched the first rhinoplasty, I paid out-of-pocket to have another company complete the second attempt. Este had reassured us multiple times that everything would go as planned, but upon arrival in Istanbul, they changed their tune. Despite making me pay for the flight, hotel, and time away from work, Este refused to carry out the procedure the way they had initially agreed. This left my daughter, who had already suffered through the first failed attempt, deeply upset.

In desperation, I consulted with a different surgeon at the last minute. This new surgeon, Dr. Mustafa Yazır, took no payment until he successfully completed the procedure. His professionalism, care, and communication were beyond anything we had experienced with Este. From the initial consultation to aftercare, his team kept us informed and reassured. The procedure was done correctly, with the utmost attention to detail, and the results exceeded our expectations. In gratitude, I took his entire team out for a meal before our departure.

The contrast between Dr. Yazır’s clinic and Este Medical Group is night and day. Este uses subcontracted surgeons, not directly employed by them, which I believe contributes to the inconsistency in service. The communication, care, and commitment to patient safety we received from Dr. Yazır’s team were key to their success, and my daughter is thrilled with the results.

Bobby from Este reached out to me for a meeting, asking that I remove my review before our discussion. I refused to do so until we could address these serious issues, but since agreeing to the meeting on August 20, 2024, he has postponed it, and not heard from Bobby since. In the meantime I had a FaceTime call with Este from London who took all the details and are following up. They said that they agreed that we were treated very poorly and below standards. So this was my second transplant so have something to compare with. And my results are terrible for spending 8 thousand pounds in the end. It’s truly heartbreaking as hair is big confidence booster for men and I was sold lie after lie.

First of all went for a consultation and Sam and in my opinion it was very pushy , given no time to sit down and think he asked if I could pay deposit on the spot no offering time to reflect like last time I went to turkey.

Also had to book my own hotel which adds to the cost which in comparison to last hair transplant and everyone I’ve spoke to they’ve never done this.

When I got to turkey I booked myself into a nice hotel as knew was there for a few days. Pick up etc was smooth transplant wasn’t sore at all but right at end of transplant they bring in a woman to entice you to get stem cell treatment for an extra £750 again put on the spot selling you a dream. Safe to say that done absolutely nothing was as well throwing that money down the toilet.

When I got back I expressed my concerns of total failed hair transplant to Sam and all he could offer was more PRP and laser after telling him id just got my house so money was tight he kept going and assured me this would work, I mean bearing in mind I’d already been for a hair transplant done 3 PRP sessions and laser before this he kept pushing and I went for it 8 thousand pounds down and I genuinely don’t feel any better any my hair is still as thin as the side of a five pound note.

So overall a completely failed hair transplant and felt pushed into every decision I made money wise with them. I never needed anything after my first transplant and was no pushiness , PRP or laser and was 1/5 of price I’ve paid for this absolute madness. I was always going to have to go for second transplant as I only got front done at first. But my god I’m absolutely devastated how this has went i would not recommend going here at all. My 2 turkey experiences were night and day.

Now looking to go a 3rd time Este Medical have failed me big time.

I’ll be going back to person who did my first one a lot more professionally done with much much better results.

I do not take anything away from staff who work at Edinburgh they are all lovely people doing their job, but I can’t emphasise enough DO NOT USE ESTE MEDICAL FOR HAIR TRANSPLANT!!!!

My wife is Asian, and started suffering from Melasma (an issue of hyperpigmentation) in 2022. She did a lot of research, including treatments available and the costs both here and in Thailand.

We met with Bobby at Este Medical in Glasgow, who seemed reasonably knowledgeable, and confident that it was a treatable condition that could be fully resolved with a 1 year treatment.

While I was sceptical, my wife was very happy with the Este Clinic and what she'd heard while talking with Bobby and so we negotiated the cost of the full treatment, choosing to pay the full year up front. My wife is very cost conscious, and she was happy with the value offered.

The treatment is divided into three stages: a pre-peal where the skin is treated to ensure it is in good condition and well hydrated before the main peal

the main peal - a one off, chemical peal, treatment which "helps to rapidly turn over skin cells as well as inhibit the production of pigmentation" (a description from the blurb)

a care and maintenance stage, which lasts for a year following the main peal, during which further treatment continues and there are monthly checks to ensure the products are being used as directed and progress is monitored.

Amanda, our therapist, has been with us from the start, and has guided my wife's treatment wonderfully. She is warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable.

During the pre-peal stage, my wife was refused boarding on a flight back from a holiday in Thailand and got stranded there for 5 weeks. Amanda was able to arrange for her skincare / prep. products to be shipped to Thailand so my wife was able to continue her treatment, uninterrupted, when we were able to sort out her return.

I cannot fault any of those at Este Medical in Glasgow - they all, and Amanda in particular, have treated us exceptionally.

We are now approximately 7 months through the treatment, and my wife is exceptionally happy with the results so far.

Amanda and the team at Este have also involved me from the start, which I have found reassuring considering my initial scepticism, and I would have no problem recommending Este Medical in Glasgow.
