I have been to Bloc many times over the years and want to emphasise that usually I LOVE it here, the staff are usually lovely and the food is 10/10. But today I went and the service was sadly terrible. We arrived and were bluntly told by a staff member just to find a seat and scan the QR code for the menu, I brushed it off thinking she was just stressed having worked in restaurants myself as a waitress for years I know we all have those days! However we then had been sat for around 25/30 minutes and no one had come to take our order or check in, not once. The restaurant was quiet so I’m unsure why this was the case. A blonde waitress finally appeared and didn’t say sorry for the delay or even hello, just said “do you want to order something”. We then ordered and then proceeded to wait around 35/40 minutes for our food, not once did a staff member come to give an update or check in, as I was about to go check the brunette long haired waitress appeared with our food popped it on the table and left. Again no apology for the delay or any kind of customer service just seemed very much like she could not be bothered. I am not one to complain but I am just really disappointed as I have been coming for years and this is the first time where the staff in general (apart from the lovely short-haired lady who cleared our plates and took our payment she was lovely!!) seemed very uninterested and completely not on the ball. Another table next to us had the same feeling it just felt so unfriendly.
On the positive note, the food as always was AMAZING. I really hope this is a 1 off but maybe something management could look at as was really not the usual vibe...

We sat down and a waitress handed us menus, got a drink order after about 10 mins ( it wasn’t even busy as this point), after one of us was away to go to the bar as we hadn’t been seen. Then was rudely told by one that someone will come get our order. The same said girl came back 5 mins after standing about chatting to another member of staff.
Got our drinks and ordered food, but this waitress couldn’t have been less interested in customer service or her job as her attitude certainly didn’t imply this.
Cannot fault the food at all, the food came out hot and tasty , we thoroughly enjoyed it without a doubt.
We had finished and waited for another 10 mins for someone to come clear the plates and ask if we wanted anything else …. 3 of the waitresses / waiters standing at the bar too busy chatting to even notice anyone waiting. They finally come over and clear the plates but just leave us alone.
A different person comes over after we are looking about for someone, we then decide to pay the bill as we’d had enough, bil dropped off at table and asked “cash or card” , we say card and then she disappeared ….. we had to get someone different to get us to pay.

Had been desperate to try here so decided to take my young daughter on mothers day as a treat for us both. Waited forever for food, even though it surprisingly wasn't busy! My daughter had asked for a couple of changes to her vegetarian burger, the main one being no mayo. Burger eventually comes and all wrong and smothered in mayo. I politely asked if it could be corrected and the burger she asked for to be made. Imagine my horror when they eventually bring it back and they've just scraped the mayo off the same burger and put it in a new bun 🤮 you could see all the sauce ingrained into the burger they'd tried to hide by putting it upside down. Needless to say my daughter left her meal and ate the bun. My chicken strips were rock hard and solid. The sides and dessert were great, especially the sticky toffee pudding we had wanted to try.
My main gripe however is the lack of care here about the vile process of the burger. I messaged the next day and was instructed to email, and did. Having not received an email for some time I emailed again and asked if they'd looked into this. I was told he'd "been busy" needless to say months down the line I've still heard nothing.
