I went to this dessert restaurant because it looked a little fancier than your average ice cream place and the number of vegan options on their website looked amazing. The table layout was a little weird. We were there on a Thursday so it was pretty quiet, with plenty of empty seats. The server sat us at a table where they had to squeeze past me a little to get to and from the counter, which was an interesting choice. The main reason why I don’t think I’ll be back, despite the food being fine, is because they refused to give us tap water. I asked for tap water and the poor server had to tell me that they didn’t serve it. I was so surprised by this response that I asked them why and they told me it was just company policy. So I begrudgingly ordered a still water for £2.50. My friend and I had both worked in hospitality and were under the impression that any restaurant serving alcohol was legally obliged to provide patrons with tap water free of charge. Seeing as my friend had just ordered a mojito, we were pretty confused. When the server came back, I asked them about this and they told me that all the mixed drinks were actually mocktails, that the restaurant didn’t serve alcohol and therefore did not need to provide tap water. It was obvious that they’d had this conversation with customers before as they had the response ready. I felt bad for them as it obviously wasn’t their decision but they no doubt get a lot of questions about it. It just put a dampener on the whole experience. Does the sale of bottled water really make the restaurant enough money to make up for annoying its customers and making them less likely to return? When you’re charging £9 for ice cream, can you not throw in some tap water on the house? It just seemed like a clear money grab to detriment of the planet and customer satisfaction. (I would also add that it wasn’t very clear from the menu that the cocktails were non-alcoholic, although that was our bad for not reading through the ingredients properly.)

The atmosphere and decor/presentation is what I'd say is the only good thing about this place. You'd come here for the aesthetic more than anything. I went and got a Nutella cheesecake, Nutella crepe, the perfect dream, 2 milkshakes and 3 tapas which included our choices of, hot donuts, brownie buts and bao buns. This all came to around 52 pounds, which nowadays is expected from these places. The food was tasteless or inedible. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat maybe more than 2 bites out of each dish. I understand that half of it is probably just prep and heat in microwave then serve but it really wasn't good at all. The bao buns especially, they smelled and felt so fake, it felt like biting into a plastic or playdough ball. The service as well wasn't great. We were seated quickly enough and handed menus although weren't told it was order through the app and sat for a little until we clicked no one was coming and we had to order online. Which means it had to all be prepaid for and we added a tip beforehand too. Once ordering, the server sat talking to whoever was behind the counter for most of it then eventually came over to say there was no waffles or crepes available and asked if the crepes were okay, no option to refund given, and it took a while to actually bring out, and was Brought out in parts at a time. The leave only had about 3 people in other than us. Firstly a wrong item was brought over but when saying we were looked at like we were wrong but told they would bring the other thing over. They then asked if everything was okay and we said something still hadn't arrived, they looked at us confused again and we had to show our order via app. We were really disappointed in this place and won't be back. Aesthetic only service slow but not the worst I've seen

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!! First of all, I want to clarify that this was definitely not my first time at this dessert place. I’ve been here more than three times before and loved it, even though I always found it overpriced. Please take a look at my order, the “Ruby Chocolate & Raspberry Croffle,” which you can see in the pictures. Compare that with what I actually received—also shown in the pictures. The dessert was shockingly not fresh. The portion was much smaller than what I’ve had previously, and the croffle itself was sticky instead of crispy. (As a reference, I’ve ordered the same dessert in the past, so I know what it’s supposed to be like.) You can barely see the dessert in the plate—it honestly looked unappetizing and nothing like how it was advertised. I asked the waitress to change it, but she was quite grumpy and said she’d have to speak with the manager. Even after I explained that the dessert wasn’t fresh, she insisted it was. She said they couldn’t change the order, but she could adjust the bill if I ordered something else. (She eventually did balance the bill.) Still, this is not the level of service I expected. Second of all, the waitress simply brought the cutlery and placed it randomly on the table without any care or presentation. I would have expected the cutlery to be properly placed in front of us. I have a lot of respect for service staff, but this is just not professional service!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!
