I had booked my 21st at St.Jude’s courtyard venue for July. Before my party I had been emailing back and forth to finalise Drinks packages, Dj hire, times and so forth. When we arrived at the courtyard the gate was locked. We were taken down the back way passed the kitchen to my hall which hadn’t even been set up. The staff didn’t greet us nor did they really help when I asked why the party wasn’t set up. My DJ wasn’t set up for the time we had arranged and had actually turned up 40 minutes late, the lights weren’t on, the slush machine which they offered was not on and I was told on the day that their was no one their to work it after I had emailed 3 days before to check it was still okay to be set up. One member of staff in particular was so rude leaving me and my friends feeling very uncomfortable. I had also booked a drinks package which I had to explain to the staff what was included and we ended up only getting a bottle of vodka for £200! I had to ask on 2 separate occasions for the staff to open the gate to let my guest come in. The bar was also not set up. We had asked for straw and we were told their when none available. We then went up stairs into the other bar and had to bring down our own straws. It’s just shows the sheer lack of effort the staff had for setting up the venue and bar. I had emailed the venue after the party to explain how deeply disappointed I was and how it really put a damper on my party. I also explained I wasn’t happy that I had been left out of pocket for my drinks package. I received an email saying I would get an email from the general manager and that they would take my issue “further”. I hadn’t heard anything since and tried to chase up the email but unfortunately have still had no response. Overall I would not recommend St Jude’s for hosting any sort of celebration as the experience I received for the money I spent was absolutely shocking. The customer service is also...
Read moreI don’t recommend this place. I’ve been twice, I understand it their policy but last year (2023) my work had their night out there and I had to leave at 10 but now as I’m turning 18 the next day (2024) (24 hours next day Wilmer the clock hit 12, I’m 18), they made me leave at 9:30, only gave me two options I could stay for other 30 minutes till 10 cause I told them about least year or get someone to come with me to go to McDonald’s for next 2 or 3 hours by ourselves walking the streets, young girls left by ourselves with a world that’s not safe anymore to walk the streets . My dad who happily got back in the house after dropping me off, had to come back and get me, it took him over nearly an hour to come back as the M8 was closed (for some reason). Saint Jude’s have not just ruined my work night out but also my big 18th as I wanted to have a good time with work mates. So anyone planing on having anything here do not bother as half of your pals might need to leave or been told differently things for different reasons like I was. Security : birthday not till midnight, okay you’re allowed to stay but not allowed to drink till midnight night. Two minutes later Security: just spoke to my manager, you’ll need to leave at 9:30 and come back at 12. (Even though the place doesn’t...
Read moreBooked a table for 5pm on Saturday 20th September. Seated, ordered a drink and our food. 5.45pm still waiting on the drink to arrive. Explained to the server we were still waiting on our drink, told our drink would be a few minutes. Went up to the bar spoke to a man im presuming was either the manager or charge hand and explained we had to leave by 6.30pm we had a show booked, his response was would you like to take the food away, away where? To walk in the street eating our evening meal. I was told at this point food and drink was on the house, it was already prepaid. Got our drink and 2 females were sitting beside us who arrived at least 25 minutes after we did, there food was delivered. I asked the waiting staff were my food was told your order will be next?? Food arrived after 6pm tasted ok but would have enjoyed better if we had enough time to relax and eat it properly. St Judes was very busy staff didnt seem to know what they were doing, if so busy customers should be told they have a long wait for food and alcohol. What was supposed to be a pleasant evening having our dinner before the show turned out to be not a great experience and given how long we waited i would not...
