I recently visited Scotland for work, and in the evening, I had a bit of free time. One of my colleagues mentioned an outlet that does cheap clothes, so I thought, why not check it out? I wouldn't say this is an outstanding review, mainly because I only had an hour to spend there, but I'll share my experience.
First off, I was amazed that parking was only 50p! Being from London, where 50p wouldn’t even lift the barriers at most shopping centres, that was a pleasant surprise. The outlet itself has all the shops you’d need. I honestly wish I had more time to explore properly. Unfortunately, I went towards closing time, and I didn’t want to be that customer who messes up the tills or disrupts the tidiness they’ve prepared for the next day.
I visited during Black Friday, so the deals were really good. For example, in Mountain Warehouse, T-shirts were about £11, and fleece jumpers were £18. I should’ve picked up a few things but didn’t have enough time. I’m the type who likes to take their time shopping, weighing up whether I really need something or not—I’m not an impulsive buyer.
Because it was closing time, the outlet wasn’t busy, so I can’t comment on how crowded it gets during the day. But I popped into Timberland and Levi’s as well, and the prices were excellent compared to London or other big cities. Again, I just didn’t have the time to make the most of it.
There’s also a massive Cadbury’s chocolate shop and a Lindt shop, which was a nice touch—especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth. They had coffee shops too, so you could easily make a day of it if you plan your visit better than I did.
Now, about outlets in general—I’m not sure how they work. I’ve heard they sell items the main shops can’t shift or end-of-line stock. But honestly, I’m not a huge shopper, so I wouldn’t know. From what I saw, though, there were definitely some good bargains to be had.
Overall, I’ll definitely check this place out again next time I’m in Scotland. Hopefully, I’ll have more time to look around properly and maybe grab a few things. It’s worth a visit, especially if you’re looking for deals or comparing...

Read moreGood Afternoon,
I know you will have not much interest in my Review but we would like to make people aware of how the company you employ who control your parking spaces are operating.
The Complaint:
Having parked in a mobility bay (we should have checked the small signage) and displayed our badge within the Red Car Park at LDO, I received the UKPA parking charge letter on 05/02/2025 for the sum of £100, Discounted to £60.00 if paid by 31/01/2025, I actually didn't notice this until I looked at the letter closely a few days later after payment and thought to myself? Very Very Sneaky.
Obviously as the letter did not reach me until 05/02/2025, The amount of £100 was paid for the following day on 06/02/2015 and had thought That I could speak to someone from UKPA about the discounted amount, I was wrong, You cannot speak to anyone or is there a facility to do this and they obviously have this all sewn up pretty good.
It makes me wonder how many of your customers are affected in this way and probably just thought they had received the letter late.
As I scroll down all the Bad Reviews related to this little scam you have going on, I see customers saying "We won't return" and yes, we will never come back to your centre, And all for £40 in my case, We can afford this but there are many who cannot.
Ok, So this will generate a reply from LDO saying how they are sorry that this has happened and that they are working to resolve these issues or that the particular car park you mention is not ours, Why not display a sign at the entrance to your shops saying This? You Are Very Aware Of What Is Going...
