Can't believe this has been hidden behind closed doors for years! Small when compared with other glass houses but packed full of healthy plants, sculptures and huge koi fish. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in Queens Park for a walk - dogs not allowed in the glass house but lovely seats in the garden outside if you need to take turns going in for a nosy!

19 04 2023 opening times for the garden are 10:00 to 15:30 every day except Friday where they are 10:00 to 15:00. Toilet and main building are closed but plenty of seats and tables in the garden

Always a nice place to pop into, especially if it's cold and windy. Bird and reptile house is closed for the time being but the plants are in good condition.

Free to visit. Glass house houses a selection of birds and an abundance of reptiles and creepy crawlies. There are also koi ponds in the glass house. Houses a decent sized cafe but very pricey, would recommend bringing a packed lunch and taking advantage of the picnic benches outside. Also has an iindoor soft play area (free) for under 5's although this isn't adhered to so your experience will vary depending on who else is there on the day. Toilet facilities are adequate, basic but functional. Baby changing area could use some more thought put in it, smelly and no shade so changing station get quite hot. Early closing though so make sure you toilet early to avoid getting caught short as there are no other bathroom...

Easily accessible entrance. Good place for families to bring kids to enjoy the display. Inside I would say the koi ponds are the real highlight of the glass house, anything else I think you can see anywhere else. Overall I would recommend to go and have a good time, but sadly it is currently CLOSED. And it does not say it's closed ANYWHERE even on the signs at the front, so I think that really annoyed me when I tried to go there thinking...
