Windsor is a town on the River Thames in southeast England, just west of London. It’s home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs. Public tours take in the State Apartments, which contain opulent furnishings, and paintings from the royal art collection.

Free 2 hour mornings along the River Thames near to Windsor. 1st come 1st served . There are two signs which you must park between . Outside these areas you must pay . Near to cafe on the right hand side of the river heading down stream . Beware of larger tourists boats and landing docks nearby.

Lovely place to walk along and feed the birds. Although with a 3 year old and nearly 2 year old you have to have eyes everywhere as there are no barriers and no fear of the swans! Then pop across to Alexandra Park opposite to let them run off some steam before picnic and home.

This is the best spot to see a large group of swans and other birds. Everything in Windsor town is great because its a second home of royal family. Duck boat or normal boating is extra fun as i had. Feeding swans is nothing you had done it before.
