Iannellis — Restaurant in England

As an Italian girl, finding a restaurant abroad that can recreate the true flavors of our cuisine is not easy. But at Iannellis I had the feeling of having returned home!!!! The pizza is genuinely fantastic, cooked to perfection with a soft and slightly crunchy crust, just like the one I eat in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. We had a Margherita pizza with Burrata and Nduja and a Diavola pizza which was delicious. The atmosphere of the place is also special: welcoming, warm and with an attention to detail that makes you feel like you are really in a small Italian trattoria. The staff is kind and helpful, always ready to recommend the right dish. If you are in Aylesbury and want to taste a piece of Italy, Iannellis is absolutely the right place. I can't wait to go back because I have finally found a real Italian...

We went here for dinner after its recent refurb and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion sizes are generous without being off putting and I would consider good value for money. We both had pasta, and I have to say that both dishes were excellent. I don’t normally order a lasagne in Italian restaurants as they tend to be light on layers and generally stiff and chewy. This one however is melt in the mouth with a flavour to match, I’d definitely recommend it if you like lasagne. My wife had the salmon pasta which was equally as good. In terms of ambience, it’s very relaxing with a pleasant decor, and the staff, though attentive, are not hovering all the time which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Came to this restaurant for the first time when attending an event at the theatre. My family and I really enjoyed our meal, the restaurant is clean and beautiful, there is a large outside area plus a little play area for kids! (Will be coming back in summer with my son). My husband and I both had a vegan pizza which was delicious. The only small 'gripe' was that the food took a while to come out (we'd been sat got about an hour) however I put this down to the fact that pizzas are being made freshly. So definitely allow enough time when dining if you need to go somewhere after. Didn't try any of the ice cream or cakes but they looked good! The staff were also very friendly and polite and just overall lovely :) paid about £80-£90...
