I really should give this place a 5* Rating, (my own opinion), but rating so highly often disappoints others who might then expect "perfection" - it's not! BUT!!!...this shop has been there since before I moved into this area over 20 years ago, so that in itself speaks volumes! 95%+ of the time, their fish 'n' chips, and other products, are delicious and quite ample portions...and just about the CHEAPEST AROUND! If I buy X amount of meals from here, it's up to FIVE POUNDS cheaper overall, than buying from any one of four other shops in (or within 5 mins drive) of my local area. Through all this time this establishment has been run by the same people who are always consistent, the shop is never unexpectedly shut and they are always welcoming and friendly. The place is kept clean and they remember their regulars. Over the fifteen years there have only been slight price increases and they are still very affordable now. When I go in with my children they have sometimes offered sweets for them. I don't go weekly, I only get a takeaway once in a blue moon but they recognise me and I have never had a bad fish and chips yet and prefer this shop to...

Looking around Peacehaven, the shops were expensive and smelled of old cooking oil.
Tried the Lobster Pot and we were pleasantly surprised. Medium cod and chips x3 for £20 or so. Chips were good and the fish very tasty. A slight hint of lemon was present and most refreshing.
Premises are dated but very clean. The shop was staffed by an older East Asian couple. The strongly accented lady on the till was helpful and friendly.
