Royal St. David's Golf Club — Attraction in Harlech

Played here today and what a joke! course was good in parts but a few rough greens and untidy bunkers. But the biggest let down was it took 5 hours 30 minutes to play 18 holes absolute madness never seen such slow play! It was an organised singles opens competion and the set up was terrible! The tee times were to bunched together and were 20 minutes behind schedule obviously trying to squeeze as many people out as possible and when we eventually got to the 13th hole where the halfway house is 3 and a half hours later? there was no food ect left with loads of groups still left out on the course behind us. Then we rang the clubhouse to pre order some food to save time when we eventually get in as we were struggling to get to our hotel to check in in time and the kitchen shut at 6 what terrible set up! will not be back we played £30 to play it with it been a competition and its not worth it to pay that the way its currently set up. Get the set up sorted out and sort out the slow golfers! I would rather pay double the price and be able to play a round of golf in 4 hours max and be able to have some food...

Played here today Sunday 9th June 2019. What a golf course. This is a hard golf course, lots of ruff and deep bunkers, I play of 18, but would say I'm more a 20HC golfer, been playing for 30 years. The greens are fast and true. The fairways "when you hit them" are tightly cut,its not a course where you can just use a driver all the time, you have to think about each shot. I finished on 98, but had a great round of golf, few lost balls cost me some shots, plus a few duff shots and 3 putts. I would love to play it again, I think now I know the course I would shot a bit lower,, but was happy with my score today. Thank you to the Pro who was very helpful today....

Really enjoyed this course ( apart from 15th LOL, which I made a complete and utter b@11s up of). Firstly communication with the club to book golf was excellent, upon arrival a very good full (welsh) breakfast, and then down to business..... not to many holes cut into the dunes, but the wind does play a huge part in the effect on scoring, ( on our day it was gusting up to 30mph), a few holes on the front 9 are a bit "back and forth", greens were very good as were the tee boxes.... Into the wind the 517y 7th was a real challenge, two x mini driver and a 3 wood just about got me to the front edge. It's quite a trek to get there, but well well...
