A nice area to walk with a large field for off lead dogs, and a shady lakeside walk however this area does have lots of fishing persons so best to keep dogs on lead especially if they are prone to sniffing out bait or jumping into the lakes. The field is currently waist high in grass & meadow flowers which is lovely but watch for grass seeds & ticks on your dogs. Lots of butterflies & other insects. A circular walk here is about 40 mins but can be extended into the area behind Hampshire Lake retirement Village, this is private land & walking is permitted currently so suggest it is respected so we can enjoy continued use. Also an area of allotments which has to be walked around. Parking...

I haven’t been to Swan valley for almost 30 years now, I was a keen pike fisherman, so thought I would take the dog for a walk around the lake to see how it’s changed over the years. On the walk I noticed quite a bit of rubbish around the lake and on the island too, but the lake is open to the general public, so would say the rubbish isn’t down to the fishermen, as all the swims are kept clean and fenced off from people walking...

Beautiful location and great for a walk. I love the setting and it doesn't feel busy at all so you can go anytime. The visitor centre and food outlets are excellent. There are also lots of gift goodies to buy such as local produce and toiletries and gardening items. Sit outside and view the park with a cup of...

What an incredible hidden gem. This nature walk offers a pleasant mix of waterside scenery, meadowland, and woodland edges. The bird watching is fantastic with nature stops along the way. A big lake that supports both wildlife and recreational use. There is free parking also on Swan Lane which has plenty of spaces.

Parking can be a struggle as it's used by people who go here for fishing and also the allotments. Lovely area for a dog walk. Its only about 1 miles round but you can extend it by walking along the river. The amount of rules for fishing here is longer than Bonnie blues disease list..
