The East Asia Co (Sandhurst) — Restaurant in England

I wish I had read reviews carefully before ordering. Late delivery appears to be a recurring complaint.

Ordered 6.40pm Due 8.05pm Delivered to another lucky family 8.57pm Recooked 9.20pm (my kids starving) Deliver to me 10.05pm. Threw in some free dessert as apology.

Rang multiple times from 8.20pm, each time told order was out for delivery and to wait another 15-20min. They couldn't tell which delivery driver had my order, so couldn't call to check, and had to wait till they returned from their rounds.

Ordered Thai. Pad Thai noodles too thick and didn't taste authentic. My girls normally love pad thai but they left half or box behind, normally there would be none left.

Penang curry tasted ok but not how it should be. Green curry tasted mediocre, chicken was 'rough' and not marinated to soften like you get in authentic Thai.

Satay marinade was strangely green, my kids didn't like it. They normally never leave satay on plate!

Will stick to Pad Thai Red Lion in Wokingham. They do proper Thai and are reasonably priced and...

Just had a take away from here. The food was amazing! The delivery was far from good. Order was 25 mins late (1 hour 25 total). When food arrived part of my order was wrong. When I phoned they promised to get the incorrect items to me ASAP. After another hour and 25 mins I gave up and called again. They will apparently remember me & credit me next time I order. That remains to be seen if they come though on that. Such a shame, as I said above the food was amazing.

*Update - My Wife & I thought we would give the East Asia Co another try. I phoned them up and reminded them of what happened last time. I was impressed that the person I spoke too remembered who I was and what had happened. They were very apologetic & added the missing items to our order and gave me a code for 30% off our order. Mistakes can happen but how they are dealt with is important.

For the record the food was promptly delivered and was amazing!

Slow, cold food, missing items. Ordered food at 19:26, it took 1 hr 15 mins to prepare the food, an hour for us to pick it up as the address has changed to Sandhurst to a location you cant even see from the road (we picked up our food from some bloke in a car park). There was a main and a starter missing, phone line was consistently busy so we couldn't get through to the restaurant for over half an hour until 22:00. Was told that the missing food and some extra gyoza would be delivered within half an hour - food finally arrived at 22:55, 3.5 hrs after we ordered it. Apparently we'll be getting a refund for the missing items, we'll see if that appears. Food's good, but not good enough this amount of...
