Fenixia Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Was truly horrified at what I witnessed at this restaraunt last night. I ordered some squid for me and my two young children and when it came out it smelt funny and was of a funny texture. Jubiously I tasted a tiny peice and was nearly sick in my mouth. So I called the waiter over and kindly asked to send it back. They kept prompting me to take it home. As a local and regular customer they tried to assure me that I had ordered it before and then as the debate progressed they admitted that this squid in particular was from the alacarte menu and bot the usual 1. Any how when they brought the bill out they still tried to charge me for it and when I challenged the staff they was very aggressive and insisted if I ordered it I would have to pay despite me being a regular well paying customer for over 8 years. I asked to see the manager who was even more abrupt and rude and started swearing in front of my children and other customers. I was horrified as to to which point I left and apologised to the other customers at tables. They didn't want to listen to my point of view and just shouted over me aggressively and made me and the children very uncomfortable. I was disappointed as we have been going for so many years. I shall never ever go back there. The food is very substandard but my children liked the rice and noodles in there. The meat and fish is borderline inedible. The hygiene is poor and there attitude and customer service is the worstI have ever encountered. The young lady manager needs to learn how to run a business. Sunday 28th July my family and I went for a meal here. 4 adults,teenager and a 6 year old. We were seated and decided we didn’t want the all you could eat and ordered from the normal menu. We ordered water for the table as we wanted to order food before drinks. After ordering about five minutes in the rather rude lady came back and said because our order came to £49 and was less than £10 per person she can’t serve us but we can order it as a take out???? We were gobsmacked. There were 6 people in restaurant and loads of empty tables plus this isn’t a top notch restaurant with a minimum order. I asked to see where it said it on the menu and she showed me. It said 10% surcharge not £10 minimum charge per person. She refused to serve us unless as I said we ordered it as a take out. Came in today and ordered some food. I got egg fried rice. Sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken chow mein and a pancake roll. And I have got to say it was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. I love Chinese food and it’s been a long time since I have been to a restaurant and been served food that was so nice. I’m now sat here with a bad belly because I just couldn’t stop eating hahaha ( I’ve made a pig of myself ) Service was fast. Staff was polite and the food was absolutely phenomenal.
