The statue of Edith Swan-neck finding Harold on the battlefield is poignant and touching and deserves to be properly preserved- I believe there is a campaign group working in that. The park is small but reasonably pretty with a few trees in the centre, paths, benches, public loos (seem to be locked at 8 a.m on Saturday so not sure of opening hours) and it's just across from the beach and also the parkrun start.
