West Marina Gardens — Attraction in Hastings

The statue of Edith Swan-neck finding Harold on the battlefield is poignant and touching and deserves to be properly preserved- I believe there is a campaign group working in that. The park is small but reasonably pretty with a few trees in the centre, paths, benches, public loos (seem to be locked at 8 a.m on Saturday so not sure of opening hours) and it's just across from the beach and also the parkrun start. Beautifully landscaped small gardens right on the seafront with plenty of free parking. A simple walk around the border with plenty of beaches to sit and rest if you struggle with long walks.
