The statue of Edith Swan-neck finding Harold on the battlefield is poignant and touching and deserves to be properly preserved- I believe there is a campaign group working in that. The park is small but reasonably pretty with a few trees in the centre, paths, benches, public loos (seem to be locked at 8 a.m on Saturday so not sure of opening hours) and it's just across from the beach and also the parkrun start. Dogs are welcome, there are always a couple on walks...

Beautifully landscaped small gardens right on the seafront with plenty of free parking. A simple walk around the border with plenty of beaches to sit and rest if you struggle with long walks. Has a bowls green at one end as well which is still regularly used. Lovely spot to grab some fresh air and get a...
