These are the remains of a priory going back to the 1200's but only two information boards at the site, one for the priory and the other for the garden. Pleasant site close to the river but very wet underfoot when we visited. There was a bank of four CCTV cameras near the entrance, unclear why. Free parking on the road nearby, and dogs on leads allowed.

I worked on the archaeological excavations on the site in the 90's and I was really disappointed with what has been done with the priory site. The only information is a history board by the entrance so unless you know what you're looking at you won't get much from the site. We found so much in the excavations but it's like it's all been forgotten.

If you are in Haverfordwest find your way over to the Priory ruins. Only a few minutes walk along the river from Riverside shopping. Free entry :) The ruins are not very big, so it does not take to long to see everything, good to combine with a visit to the Castle.

This is a great ruin it what would have been a peaceful place, unusual for the gardens that have been recreated to show what they would have looked like back in the day. The river runs close to the ruin, sad that you can see lots (3) shopping trolleys on the river bank. The dual carriage wY is also next to the ruin otherwise this would have been a nice peaceful place. There is carparking which is free. You can walk from the ruin to the nearby nature reserve which is only 0.3 of a Km away. Worth a visit if you are in the area just a pity about the traffic noise and also no reL information boards on what each part of...
