I wouldn’t bother. Booked in for Valentine’s Day. Food incredibly disappointing. Had a real issue with a steak which is not a cheap item menu. Incredibly chewy and the fat had not been rendered at all unfortunately it is the kind of thing you get in a cheap bar grill with the signature diamond char marks which is always a concern.. short rib was also ordered which was Just one block of meat the fat on this was also completely raw but I am not picky so I finished the short rib. Came with sautéed veg which was almost entirely green beans and peas in a pod…and two small tender stems… Almost the entire steak was left we explained to the server who was incredibly nice and polite. She tried to defend the steak and saying she knows some people like it cooked differently. She admitted she does not eat steak. She was an incredibly nice and polite server, but I really don’t want to have to defend myself. The steak was like rubber and dry, the fat was completely white no attempt at a tender. I explained the temperature was perfectly medium rare. However, nobody likes the steak chewy with raw fat. Disappointingly, I was also charged full price! I would have scored higher if they owned the mistake and offered a reduced price. The server Taylor was great, there was also a very young server. having been involved in the industry a long time I understand they need support and training however they kept interrupting our server while she was trying to talk with us or while we were talking to the server. There was a singer on while we were eating very loud at one point dropped the microphone which sent a huge bang ripping across the building. The song choice was also very strange for Valentine’s Day songs about drinking and partying. Just an uncomfortable environment really. Cocktails were pretty good! Staff are friendly and food was reasonably quick! The truffles fries were great too, but I won’t be bothering again. Nearly £90 for the experience. Picture attached of steak but due to the purple lighting may...

Just had a meal with friends. Our waitress, Evelyn was lovely, professional and honest. If she didn't know something, she would say so and find out. She was great! We were seated at a small table by the bar for 10 minutes, before we were moved to a booth by a gentleman member of staff. We ordered a veggie burger, which was really nice, a veggie curry, which again, was really nice. We also ordered a rare Cowboy steak, which came cold blue. It wasn't ideal, but didn't change it, and a crusted salmon, which, the thinnest part was raw, and the fattest part nicely cooked - unusual as the thinnest part is normally crispy, while the rest would be cooked properly. Again, not an issue, as the rest of the salmon was fine. When Evelyn asked if all was OK, we did tell her to tell the chef (for future reference), and she offered to have both sorted out, but as stated, we didn't need to as we could eat it as is. For dessert, we ordered two Honeycomb cheese cakes, a fruit crumble with custard, and a calispo coffee. The only issue there was the cream was fake. Normally, after a minute the cream mixes in with the coffee. This didn't happen after 15 mins when the other desserts arrived. We did mention that one of us is a qualified chef & another person at nvq 1 (old school qualified with 7061 & 7062 - these don't exist anymore and is only nvq levels now - what you learn in a year at nvq, you learnt in the first month doing 7061). We weren't expecting anything, as passing the info to the chef was more important for the chef's benefit, but we got two of the desserts for free as compensation. That was really good of them. We would definitely still return. There's a lot more food to try. We know the curries and sharer platters and veggie burger are all great, also everything else on the slight issue plates was still great. The rest of the staff are also good, and knowledgeable, but didn't get names to share. Overall,...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. We went for a Valentine’s Meal, table booked for 6.30pm. The place was busy.

The Good - warm welcome and initially attentive staff. Dog friendly and made a fuss of our little dog, giving him some treats and a bowl of water.

The Bad - we ordered from the valentines menu. Limited but varied choice. It took over an hour for our starters to arrive. They were nice. It then took another hour for the mains to arrive. We both had T-bone steak. It arrived but instead of a nice big slab of steak - it was already cut up into pieces. We queried why but weren’t given an answer. Just weird. Why do this ? I’d love to know what they were thinking - we have our own teeth.

The Ugly - Pudding (baked Alaska) arrived after another hour. The waitress saying something along the lines of “get ready to be overwhelmed” as she poured vodka over the desert and proceeded to light it. It barely lit. 🙄. I then tasted it - neat vodka took my breath away. It was so strong. It was inedible and I sent it back. I was offered a replacement but declined.

The waitress was friendly and did her best but she was severely let down by the kitchen staff. For it to take almost 3 and a half hours for 3 courses - from a pretty much set menu - is ridiculous as was the £50+ per head price tag.

We had eaten here before and had a great experience. Hence why we booked again for Valentine’s night but this time we left feeling very disappointed. Just meh. Ruined our weekend away - won’t be...

We stayed at bluestone resort for a mid week break for our daughter's birthday and booked the forbidden florist for her birthday meal and it was brilliant!!! The staff were all very good, in particular the lady that served us, her name escapes me but she told us she was four months pregnant and she did everything to accommodate us, great service! The food was excellent and the portion of the pasta that we got our daughter (kids at free on day we attended) was massive, she thoroughly enjoyed it and it's done her for lunch the next day too. I got the chicken burger and chips, which I couldn't finish as there were 3 breaded breasts of chicken in there and after having the baked camembert and bread starter I realised my eyes were bigger than my belly, not literally of course lol. The Mrs got the lamb chops with minted barbeque gravy, mash and veg and said it was delicious. We both got a cocktail, which again was very good and overall it came to 69 pounds or thereabouts. The decorations and faux flowers made for a lovely backdrop and some lovely pictures too. Were from London and I can tell you that if this restaurant was in London they would make an absolute killing and they could get away with charging even more, especially for the Instagram generation and these 'influencers' whom would the backgrounds to their poncey posing pictures. Great place, a must in my opinion if you go bluestone or you're in the vicinity of haverford west. Absolutely lovely.
