This used to be a fantastic one-stop place to shop and lunch. You used to be able to browse a large range of electronic devices. This was so handy as to not have to go to large shopping estates which are miles away. This area is now boarded up and a waste of space hiding the cafe and phone shop. If you didn't know they were there, you'd miss them. Also, the lift is hidden at the back of the store and upstairs behind the boarding, making it hard to find for the less able bodied. A huge wide range of food, wide aisles. Very few staff these days, everything is aimed at automation. Only a few tills open as they want you scanning your own shopping, which is fantastic and speedy for some but intimidating to others. The exit from the Tills can get a bit of a bottleneck, but I guess that's helpful for security to slow down those who don't want to pay. It's still a good place to shop, I just miss the extra it used to offer.

Absolutely terrible Parking facility. BEWARE! if you park too long for just going in to buy a few items they charge you a fine! Disgusting. Seems like a scam purposely to take money from people. I never received the PCN and only had gotten this letter on the 23rd May 2024. How is that possible. Not going to bother coming to this place anymore.

The only downside I had was with another customer not knowing how to park and having no consideration for other people. Once I'd parked, I went to Gregg's, I had to wait a couple of minutes for the steak bakes to finish cooking, I didn't mind the small wait as I was going to be getting freshly cooked bakes out of the oven... I got back to my car to find another customer had arrived after me & parked their vehicle on an angle, leaving their car in my parking bay by quite a way over. I'd just set off to shuffle my way out of my parking space when I had to make an emergency stop. I then watched in shock as a woman sauntered in front of my car. Luckily, I'd stopped before hitting her. She didn't acknowledge me once, what made things worse was when she stopped when she arrived at the car next to me, and without any hesitation of her surroundings, she opened her car door as wide as it could go, which almost hit my car. This meant that I then had to wait for her to load her groceries into her car. I knew no matter how much shuffling I did, I wouldn't have been able to get out of the parking bay at the angle she'd parked, or without her door hitting mine as she'd opened it so wide! I'd have said something to her, but I'm not a confrontational person. My mind is all over as it is with my thoughts as my dad is terminally ill due to a major stroke he had 15 months ago, but he's just taken a turn for the worst after having a chest infection & aspiration pneumonia, anything he manages to drink is going to his lungs which means it's slowly drowning him. And he's riddled with cancer, we've just been informed that the two types of bladder cancer he has have migrated, causing him to have myeloma cancer in his hips & his spine! Plus, knowing my luck, if I'd have asked her to be a tad more aware of her surroundings & other people's space, she'd have possibly made me feel worse than I...

Excellent shopping location. Huge selection of produce for all ages and families, plus the store is currently undergoing further improvements upstairs with some new concessions.

We shop there every week. Scan and shop is fantastic for a big shop to avoid the till queues and wasting time bagging it up too.

They always have all the seasonal necessities too.

Whenever I have dealt with staff there, they have always been pleasant , helpful and courteous. This includes the chemist inside Tesco, whom have been excellent with advice.

Nearby to Tesco there are Pound shops and a Card Factory and some other shopping units which I haven't shopped in, plus I noticed a coffee shop soon to open.

There are lots of disabled and child parking spaces. Plus a pick up point.

Lots of shopping trolleys of many sizes, including the jumbo trolleys with two toddler seats and some with a new born baby seat.

It's a very busy location, so traffic can be an issue. Plus the ring road is very close by, so during rush hour can delay you.

There is lots of parking available. Never once not found a space. But then again I don't drive round twenty times like many do, all chasing the nearest space to the door.

I have noticed there is a public bus station on site too. So clearly excellent you do not drive.

There is also a petrol station which is another massive bonus. It can be very busy too at times, but if more people paid at the pump or were prepared to stretch the hose over/around their car, it could quite easily be not such a long wait at the...
