As we approached the Woodlands centre, from the low path, we passed an amazing huge carving of a chess piece. In front of the centre there are great outdoor seating with tables, to enjoy the outdoors by the trees while having a meal and drink. The building itself is very artitectual, with big windows to enjoy the woodland view. Inside is wonderful, full of wood structures. The cafe is very clean, spacious and homely. A warm atmosphere and lovely friendly helpful staff. The food was delicious, the meal with drinks was under twenty pounds, which is very reasonable. There is a nice cosy upstairs with settees if you wish to relax with a cup of tea. In the woodlands centre is a little artistic home made crafts shop area where you can buy some souvenirs of local crafts. From here also there is information about hiring sedgeways the two wheeled gizmos with an upright handle, great for young and old alike to ride to explore the woodlands with. Our experience of the woodlands centre left us feeling positive, we would go again and recommend that you try out this...
