Sefton Park Obelisk — Attraction in Liverpool

What more could you want from an obelisk? Superb structure with a colour scheme that makes you think 'thats defo a bit old and I bet it used to be a different colour'.. Made up! If you face directly North whilst there, look into the bushes facing, across the road, and you may be treated to the sight of a gentleman sat in a wooden hut, peering back at you. He probably has other places to sit, so he is equally likely to not be there. An absolute disgrace! We all spend a year is isolation through lockdowns, we can' see friends nor relatives we have to test, keep a distance and sanitize our hands..People have lost jobs, homes, businesses and then this!! Its just beyond words...4 lockdown on the way! So there i was, standing under the obelisk, when the thing its self tells me to drink its water. Now im no religious man but when a century old stone monmument tells me to do something i go ahead and do it.
