Minna — Restaurant in Liverpool

I went to Minna today, after wanting to go for about two years... To say it was well and very truly worth the wait is an understatement. I went in at about 1230 but the place was absolutely packed, I was told there would be an approximately twenty minute wait, so I took a stroll down Lark Lane and returned, I was absolutely set on having breakfast there today! When I arrived about half an hour later, a lovely waitress sat me down beside the most enormous, beautiful plant I've eve seen. A small table that was perfect for my solo brunch. I was served very quickly and all the staff were so friendly. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and a pot of English breakfast tea, within ten minutes these arrived... I was so blown away by every single element of the breakfast, that I was aware of the fact I was shaking my head in disbelief with every delicious chomp. You could take only one of the perfect elements of the breakfast and praise it, the bread was astounding, the beans were so warming, the best well seasoned smashed avocado, the meaty mushroom, the sweet, juicy tomato... Everything was at its most perfect, and I didn't want it to end. So effected by this breakfast was I, that I modestly searched for a pen, so I could write on the napkin "best breakfast I've EVER had!" Thankfully, I was able to speak to a waiter, where I could give my gratitude in person. I will definitely be back very soon, I'm aiming to try everything on the menu. Been here ever since it open and loved it. The atmosphere was great and food was wonderful. However recently just feel like there has been a little bit of change. Unsure if it is down to new staff but they are not friendly and welcoming anymore. We went the other day with a 6 month old, we were told it was a 20 minute wait which was fine however since we said this was fine the host/waitress responded with "well actually it will be longer then that". Still fine so we went to go find somewhere to feed the baby however we were told we couldn't leave if we wanted the table and had to wait outside...in the rain...with a hungry baby. I even offered to leave something with them to show we would be back in 20 minutes but I was told no. I have previously waited for a table here before and come back so don't really understand why the change in policy. Surely they could have understood that the baby at least needed feeding. Having worked in hospitality myself I can understand how stressful it can be when busy however I found the staff member really abrupt and rude. If they had been polite about the above I probably wouldn't have minded as much. Unfortunately I can't see...

Without a doubt best place to eat and drink coffee (and allsorts of other yummy drinks) on Lark Lane! I actually don’t know where to start as they have nailed everything in this gorgeous little gem!

The staff are attentive and friendly-you can tell they like working there. I have a 2 year old and they are always particularly welcoming to her too-offering food options/adaptions when i’ve asked, there are good baby changing facilities and lots of highchairs. Minna is spotlessly clean and oozes cool chilled out yet homely vibes. The food is UNREAL loads of options for veggie/vegan and everything is so fresh! I always love the Turkish eggs or the french toast with strawberries is delicious-but i’ve had lots of different things and all have been really good.

The courtyard at the back is particularly gorgeous on a summer afternoon, and the open fire downstairs is soo cosy on a Winters day! The decor throughout is just beautiful while maintaining abit Lark lane quirkiness aswell! As i said Minna you have nailed everything and have set the bar high for the rest of the lane.
