This was only the 2nd time in years that I have visited this park. I want to add a note that the reason for my lack of visits to the park, is purely down to travelling to get there as it’s not local for me. I’d recently changed my camera and I couldn’t think of a better place to test it, than Sefton Park, especially now we’re into Autumn (my favourite season 👍🏻) The place seemed very well taken care of. With plenty of seating around the park, there is always the opportunity to sit off, rest your legs (if you need to) and enjoy the view. The abundance of wildlife and the views make this a great place for families, couples, lone walkers etc. At the start or end of your walk around the park, there is a lovely coffee shop on site, prices are reasonable and coffee tastes great. On site you can also visit the Palm House, a beautiful and elegant piece of architecture that is definitely not to be missed.

Sefton Park was always on our 'to do' list but never got round to but on a visit to Liverpool we made the trip to it and it was worth it. Even though it was late in the day (late afternoon) there were still plenty of people around. This park is MASSIVE! You can drive the full circumference of it and either park on the street or in the handful of carparks dotted around.... All free! We parked not far from the very impressive lake. There was a little, quaint cafe selling refreshments. Lots of wildlife on the lake itself to sit & enjoy and just chill while the world passes you by. The Palm House is not far but unfortunately as time was getting on it was closed. Lots more places to see, Eros's Fountain, Oasis Cafe, the bandstand and probably a lot more if we had all day. All in all well worth a visit to jyst enjoy its beauty. Will be visiting again, just a lot earlier in the day. Highly recommend 👍👍👍

This is my second time in Sefton Park, Liverpool. My first time inspired me to revisit a second time. This second time, I brought a table and a chair and had a barbecue. What a beautiful sunny day 😎 I thoroughly enjoyed myself. However, it was slightly mared by what I am about to tell you. There would appear to have been a large family gathering not far from where I was, possibly including grandparents, mums and dads, and various other relatives, uncles, aunties and a number of children, etc. They seemed to be having a great family gathering, and I was so delighted to see that this still happened. However, when they left, they left behind them an absolutely horrendous mess 😳 , see attached photo. It was actually worse than the actual picture portrays. I was devastated. WHY? I do a lot of wild camping, and I never leave any litter behind anywhere. LEAVE NO TRACE. It made me so ashamed to be a Liverpudliain. These people, I assume, must be so ignorant, uneducated, and badly brought up with very little manners that they know no different. What a shame. It didn't spoil my experience, and I will be revisiting again 😁 Please don't let what I have told you put you off a visit. Mon 29th July 24.

Very well maintained large park in South Liverpool. Roughly 4k perimeter. Regular festivals and running events are held. There is the Victorian glass palm house which has lovely plants and sculptures. The large pond was restored a few years ago and has maintained its glory along with an abundant bird habitat. People with wheelchairs can still access most of the park. In the evenings there are no gates that close access and low level lamps light pathways. Addition info of facilities include: Two cafes. Tennis courts. Crown green bowls. Cricket centre. City cycle hires (4points). Exercise points. Lit pathways for runners which include exercise points such as pull up bars and sit ups. There are 3 or 4 free small car parks however parking is allowed and free to most of the perimeter. .

This park is by far one of my favourite parks in Liverpool. It offers a huge variety of different nature beauties , several species of trees and flowers, you can enjoy the daffodils in bloom during spring time everywhere across the park. There is a huge lake with many different bird types, from swans to Canadian geese. Couple other smaller lakes and streams are also dotted round. There are a couple of Cafes in the park and bathrooms are also available. Parking areas are free and spread around the outside of the whole park. People enjoy running inside the park, if they fancy a different level of challenge, or just around it, which I believe is around 3 mile. Is the home of the palm house, a beautiful reception facility That hosts parties, receptions and art fairs.
