Staff treat you like you're lucky to be in there. Was told table service only, fine! Sat down and waited 20 mins to order. Then for next round was told to order at the bar as table service finished at 9pm. Went to the bar to be told no bar service till 9.30. During all of this was still waiting for over an hour for some nachos. Asked the waitress where they were, she said she'd check then just kept walking past us without any update. Eventually got her attention to ask about the update on the nachos and she angrily says I haven't had time to check yet I'm busy, like we're inconveniencing her for even asking. At this point there are about 5 or 6 staff just standing at the end of the bar chatting away. Since we can't order a drink, can't order food, and the staff are very rude, we ask for a refund on the nachos. Then someone else walks past and slams £10.50 on the table by reaching in between two of us without saying a word. They offered us a round of drinks, we declined as we were driving and asked if we could order deserts in said to which they said yes. We ordered one desert then later on ordered another. Apple pie was dire, clearly out of a frozen packet. Rest of food was mediocre at best. We waited over half an hour for second desert which never arrived. On asking the waitress how long it will be she said the order hadn’t been processed as we needed to pay for it! On confronting the waitress with the fact that we had been waiting this whole time and that she had never communicated that we would need to pay for it. She deflected all responsibility by running off crying to her manager. On speaking to the manager all that was offered as explanation was that there was a ‘miscommunication’, v little interest was shown to trying to establish the series of events, the poor customer experience or culpability of the waitress....

During a recent visit to the restaurant with my girlfriend and another couple, I was unjustly denied entry because my elegant trousers were mistaken for a tracksuit. Seeking a fair explanation, we left to dine elsewhere. Upon our return, we witnessed four white men in actual Nike tracksuits exiting the restaurant. When I confronted the doorman about the apparent double standard, the response was both unsatisfactory and illogical, claiming those individuals had been inside since 5 PM.
The inconsistency in policy enforcement, witnessed by all four of us, strongly suggests a racial motive, as the only discernible difference was my mixed race. This disturbing experience in 2024 is a stark reminder that racial discrimination still exists and must be actively addressed.
I urge the management of the restaurant to reconsider their policies and training to prevent such discriminatory practices. Until substantive changes are made, I cannot recommend this...
