It's always a joy to shoot at Sefton Park Palm House - as a Liverpool wedding photographer it's one of my fave venues. A restored Victorian green house that's like an oasis in the city, full of tropical plants and history. I've shot winter, summer and autumnal weddings here - some of them were icy, some were rainy, some were sunny, but all of them were joyous and beautiful. The venue has a bar area, a relaxing seated area and a main hall for dining and dancing. It looks amazing when the sun streams in but also equally amazing when it's lit up at nighttime. The park around it offers some incredible backdrops for couple portraits, especially the mini forest of super tall evergreen trees, merely 2 minutes walk from the venue. Sunsets are always epic here, being able to see the sky turn pink from your dinner table is just gorgeous. As a supplier I've always been welcomed and fed well, which makes such a difference to my day. Can't wait to shoot...
Read moreThe Sefton Palmhouse is such a fantastic venue on a regular day, but on a wedding day it turns into a magical setting!
We feel so lucky to have been able to do our wedding there. It looked so impressive that my family clapped when our double decker bus drove down the path leading to the palmhouse and they just couldn't stop gaping at how beautiful it was once they were in it.
What is truly unique is how engaged and involved the staff was throughout the process of organising the event. Sandra was extremely helpful and her wealth of experience guided us all along. I am really glad that she was there on the day too, as I felt that she was part of the guests!
No need to say that the palmhouse also looks tremendous at night, all lit up.
We had about 165 guests and an additional 20 in the evening and it didn't feel crowded at all.
We cannot recommend the venue and the staff enough. Thank you ever so much for all...
Read moreOur friends had booked their wedding here at the palm house back in 2022 for a 2024 wedding, paid numerous of instalments and had done their food tasting when they were told they’d been accidentally double booked for another wedding 6 months before the wedding date. As a result they had to cancel their suppliers and try find another venue and inform guests to cancel their hotels etc losing money in the process which caused a lot of stress and upset. However we attended Sefton park on the day the wedding should have been to find there was no other wedding on, but only children’s half term craft events and in the evening a Halloween candle lit event. It seems they had cancelled their wedding 6 months before the date in order to make more money. Although a beautiful venue I would avoid as you wouldn’t be able to trust they would stick to their contract and...
